The online racing simulator
Well, these pages will be supported :

1251 Latin 1
1250 Central European
1254 Turkish
1257 Baltic
832 Japanese (single byte - katakana only)
1251 Cyrillic
1253 Greek (possibly not in first version)

You can see the code pages here :

http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/reference/WinCP.mspx

To find out which code page your computer will use, try running the language exe on this thread :

http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=1961

Whatever number you see in "ANSI Codepage" when you run the tiny program, is the code page that the new LFS will use when you type in characters.

Progress : All the listed code pages except Greek have been entered and the system is getting close to complete. Your own characters are visible on other people's computers and you can change code page within one line of text if you want to (for example ^J is japanese and ^C is cyrillic). There's a few more days to go tidying up the loose ends - it's quite tough making sure all the right languages appear correctly on remote computers. Each computer has two active code pages - the translation code page and the input code page which can be different and there can be several different languages on your screen at once (messages, buttons, etc). You should definitely get a test patch next week.
Cool, I might be more excited if there was something else hidden in there. Still, it's one less thing to do before the fun stuff
Japanese.. That's pretty cool. Btw, nice work with the plumbing.
Scawen,

I know how a pain it can be to support different codepages, but luckily I have not needed to support 2-byte Japanese (I see your not supporting that yet too )but I know I will have to adapt my program for that soon

So far I have worked with 90% of Windows codepages including Greek :P

Good Luck!
Agreed, that is a good one

Now scawen has everyone thinking he's working on his kitchen and waterworks, while really, he's just eliminating the last bug in the final S2 version.

Go kitty! catch that bug!
First rule of the internet. NEVER post pictures of yourself (or your pets) on the internet.

Schoolboy error Scawen.

Yeayyyyy

I hope I can do a greek translation of LFS when this is ready, I've been thinking about it for a long time. All I have to do is find the time to do it...

I have a half finished one, if you want we can split it (and proof-read each other's).
Now we know where the bugs come from... Scawen's garden!
Let's send him pesticides so no bugs from Scawen's garden can infiltrate into the secret LFS-world below it.

Sooo, you jerkin' off to Scawen's "flattened" cat?
Quote from xaotik :I have a half finished one, if you want we can split it (and proof-read each other's).

Please can you write to Victor about this? We have a special online translating tool, and more than one person can be assigned to the translation. It's helpful, as it keeps lines within the length limits, etc... and now supports the code pages.

It's also useful for me, even half finished, because i have decided to do the Greek code page in the first version (this week). Half the Greek letters are done already.

Patch probably Friday or Saturday... it's all happening, plasterer is coming on Wednesday, we're ripping out the kitchen, only the sink unit is left!
i guess some people didnt know apex was only 6. he's a prodigy racer.:something:nut:
