What's up with the difference in FPS?

The P4 @ 2.4ghz is slow. LFS is pretty CPU dependent in some situations.

AMD 64 3200 is much faster in gaming.. If you got an X800XL or something like that, you would see even more increase in FPS and be able to use more AA and AF and run at higher resolutions. the ATI 9600 is now a huge bottle neck in your rig.
