I don't even remeber that I posted it.
Someday, I will kill that bastard... "heeeey loock! I shtill hews som whishki, comeon, we still nearly can woalk..."
But inline engines in Supra?! Is it consporacy or what? I thught that it is V6 from just I have been born, and doctor said: "Supras are V6, remeber" illepall
I want stirling engines
</joke>
What about a 787B replica? That would be a great mix of Wankel engines and Group C cars Just imagine 20 of them in Aston Historic...
^Haha you cheeky bastard, but a Vtec in the XFG that kicks in at 5,200rpm and will sing along to almost 10,000 (instead of its very unrealistic redline) Mind you, don't clunk it up with ricer accessories (I.E. 4" grapefruit launcher comming off the back)
~Bryan~
Yes but with the load rattling timing chain you want hear me come flying through the cloud of smoke so you will be powerless to prevent an overtaking move... unless I smack into the back of you but hey I just have to press shift+S and I get a new one so I'm willing to take the risk
Ashamed mode on. Now I feel really stupid. I have been doing a lot of late nights recently, and have barely had five minutes to collect my wits in the last three weeks.
Sorry to correct you Tristan, but those big plane engines aren't (or at least not in my understanding), called ROTARY engines, they were/are indeed called RADIAL engines.
You are wrong. What comes to airplane engine, rotary and radial are different things (might look bit same but are different things). Rotary engines really rotate (like in Sopwith Camel) and were common during WWI, but radial engine does not (like in FW-190A - note 190D had an inline ) and were used later (like in WWII).
Here's a pic to one of the most famous rotary engines of all time.
B18C VTEC FXO would be awesome, that way the TBO class will be so unbalanced we'd need a new engine for the XRT too.. hmm... oh yeah! A Turbocharged Lancer Evolution engine! That'll do. Now the RB4 is gonna be all sad, ohwell, lets award it a 2JZ GTE engine from a Supra
XRR deserves a V8 IMO, the FXR a V6, the FZR a V12.
Well isn't that mature illepall Vtec engines arn't crappy, and aren't even comparative to v8's or even v6's. They serve their purpose quite well.
~Bryan~
An inline or V6 for the FXR would be nice. Still turbo powered and small (around 2,5 litres). An N/A V8 for the XRR would do wonders too but i'd really like to se the FZ50's engine turbocharged. Can you say a 700 bhp AWD FZR?? That would create a new class, yes. I'd also like a wankel engine, like all, some big engined, fast road cars (V10 or V12) and some bigger turbo engines. That would be covered with the 3,6 flat 6 turbo and the FXR engine but i wouldn't mind a simmilar one in a road car.
Oh vtec vtec, what is wrong with this? In Japan it was the smartest way to have engines with 150% power of europan engines, with capacity and better fuel restrictions. Japanese point of view on technology is nearly always long time before Europe or US are.
Germans will build 15litre 8-turbos 128valve with 32 intercoolers engine, but Japan engineers can do the same with 6 litre NA engine and give 5 years guarantee for it! It's just different country, different point of view, and ricers using it are just making an idiot looking from cool technology.
I agree with you that V-TEC is a great invetion, and wouldn't be surprised if my next car had one. But how is V-TEC going to serve you in LFS, when you don't need to pay for the gas? Sure it would make racing interesting, but its about as sensible as removing 3rd and 4th gear from XRT (racing-wise).
And RB26DETT, whoever wanted that... Why? This engine's pro's are.. high tuning potential, two chargers and good strength. Are you going to tune it? I don't think so.. Is it the only twinturbo engine in the world? I don't think so.. Strength? Well, this is propably a considerable factor in S3, but can be solved by Scawen with "eng_str = 15,5;"
What I'm trying to say - this engine thing is just like real cars. Ricey, and waste of time and money. I think the devs will produce enough of interesting car classes without these ricey engines. I rank them into the same category with low-res Nissan headlights in a low-res XRT skin.
