So, most of you know what Phlos has commited. In your opinion, what do you think should be his punishment?

The only thing that could teach him is to take legal matters. Blacklist him from ISPs, take his computer, blah blah. He is connected with quite a few hacking groups and done plenty of things that are deemed illegal... but many people like this are hardly dealt with which is a shame.

All the other stuff things you leave as options are easily avoidable and can be circumvented by even the 'noobiest' of "hackers".

I don't even know why I am voting or replying here, this will get closed eventually.

Agreed, silentwar: the middle two options are utterly pointless - the proof being that he's here in the first place. The last option's a joke. The first option, well, we don't know for a fact (I don't anyway) that Phlos has broken the law, either in his country or in the UK. Whatever he's done it's up to the devs to pursue the appropriate course of action. What is it with drop-of-the-hat polls around here anyway?

Besides, anyone knows an appropriate punishment would be to force him to chat to imthebestnoobthereis about his favourite colour, food, movie, emoticon, porn star, shape of potato chip etc. for hours on end...

Well, there's no change the devs could lose (if they would catch him) and had to pay the expenses. And do they had to handle it themselfs anyway, isn't there any place you can just report the dam nolife haxers (like the police)? I hope that whatever they do won't take their focus from LFS developtment for too much.

Oh, and jail. That's a bad place for a l33t h4x0r. I've heard that their next to the child molesters on 'the who would I rape today in the shower' - list. Don't try to steal a living from the honest crimals!

I don't defend him. He knows very well what he does and does this repeatedly. But the trial wouldn't be easy going. What counts for a crime in Vykos' list?

Each of these items alone "weights" not much and may pass for a hooliganism, resulting in just a small or a moderate money penalty or even nothing if a judge decides he is a lost sheep. So, to draw all the things together one has to do quite a work and a layer. [edit: if a police anti-haxor department doesn't investigate this]
