But in my defense, It's not my native language and I had a few pints..

I'm sure when I am sober and reading dutch, I could manage half that!!

We have team member than can type 50...but if you test him...he'll do 65...bet we could even wind him up to 100WPM......bet it would have to be on a bet 'eh.

I don't have a lot of time to read anymore, and was never a big reader other than technical material. I still read one very old book though regularly. Well, 66 books actually

Excused, go be a Good Husband and Father.

Hi Jeff.
Quote from zeugnimod :Sorry, I meant just in comparison to most people who posted here.

I have those as well! Actually, numerous copies of each
I'll pay the shipping if you send me a copy Jeff?

You and yours are well I trust? (Weather) had to ask.

Better still..I'll ask TinyK to fix the Calvin avatar.....she can shrink a man's Avatar.....Ok that came out wrong.

But at least it will move...Mines a Tweak...(Avatar 23kb)
I've read everything ..by the following

(now don't reply to this post if you never read)

Stephen King (Colorado Kid is his last book)(Taken me 27 years)

Clive Cussler ( He now has his son writing with him)

Mark Twain ( Seems like Grisham got many of his ideals from him)

Ok i'll stop right there...that's three and a combined works of 92 books.

(some you can't call books...The Raft by stephen King was a 6 page story in the *Star 80 Playboy...turns out it was a 2 hour Movie)

Last but not least, Farley Mowat, Lost in the Barrens, only book I ever picked up and didn't put down...took me 23 hours to read...but I don't read at 5.63.97FPS....lol

You should see Kencans' collections, all hard bound, it's like having the entire California Seals collection. (<~~~hockey cards).

I posted me and S. King....(search) I think his library pic might be available.
Quote from 96 GTS :655 WPM on that test.

Right now I'm between authors and don't get much time to read, but I'm a huge Jules Verne fan. Dan Brown's books are also pretty good to read.

Dan brown eh, pick up " Stranger in a strange land"...Sci Fi but,,,that's a good read.
My all time fave, "We Inheirit the Stars" James P Hogan.

And people hate my posts........maybe hate is a little strong...lets say dislike (strongly).
this could be so much easier if Atomant would learn the benefits of the edit button

I need glasses as well, so expect that to jump about 30 with goggles!

A great book is Marijuana time by Ken Lukiowak(spelling?) Made me ROFL even though I was in prison at the time, but that's another story

Sorry mate, I'm not posting my dark past on here!
Your read 144 words in 0.28 minutes. Your reading speed is 514 words per minute

I think I'm a fast reader too, I made it through Harry Potter 5 in one week (in english, so not my mother tongue).
Last book I read was "Ich bin dann mal weg " from Hape Kerkeling, about his trip on the Camino de Santiago.
Quote from AtomAnt :Easy. Read every other word..like watching a movie in FF.......There will be no tests...Read the first post.......we're talking have you read a book lately.

I was actually joking there, that subtle pun didn't quite catch on I reckon.

Yeah, I have read a book lately, in fact, I read a whole lot. And some pretty serious and heavy stuff too. But I can't be arsed to sum up the latest titles.

I think you're assumption that this forum is full of dumb people that never read books is a bit weird, I mean, why else would you assume right away in post #1 that it's safe to say no one here ever picks up a book.
#67 - JTbo
When I start reading book I can't stop until I have completed it, so that kind of limits my reading as it takes some time to read a book with my super slow reading. Maybe I just need glasses, sometimes I'm having trouble to see text as everything looks just blurred.
Quote from AtomAnt :Hmm...wonders if I can use Bestest at the scrabble world finals?

Sure, you will get the firstest position then.
last book i read was harry potter about four years ago !
but eh in school currently reading othello
