Stephen King (Colorado Kid is his last book)(Taken me 27 years)
Clive Cussler ( He now has his son writing with him)
Mark Twain ( Seems like Grisham got many of his ideals from him)
Ok i'll stop right there...that's three and a combined works of 92 books.
(some you can't call books...The Raft by stephen King was a 6 page story in the *Star 80 Playboy...turns out it was a 2 hour Movie)
Last but not least, Farley Mowat, Lost in the Barrens, only book I ever picked up and didn't put down...took me 23 hours to read...but I don't read at 5.63.97FPS....lol

I think I'm a fast reader too, I made it through Harry Potter 5 in one week (in english, so not my mother tongue).
Last book I read was "Ich bin dann mal weg " from Hape Kerkeling, about his trip on the Camino de Santiago.
I was actually joking there, that subtle pun didn't quite catch on I reckon.
Yeah, I have read a book lately, in fact, I read a whole lot. And some pretty serious and heavy stuff too. But I can't be arsed to sum up the latest titles.
I think you're assumption that this forum is full of dumb people that never read books is a bit weird, I mean, why else would you assume right away in post #1 that it's safe to say no one here ever picks up a book.
When I start reading book I can't stop until I have completed it, so that kind of limits my reading as it takes some time to read a book with my super slow reading. Maybe I just need glasses, sometimes I'm having trouble to see text as everything looks just blurred.
