Quote from Jakg :iirc the 7-series cards can't do AA+HDR on at the same time?

Works fine for me in HL2
HDR on my 7600GT results in a steady 14fps..not exactly playable. Couldn't really see much difference either?
K, im getting this game tommarow.
What i dont like, is that, when i switch graphics to medium, or low, then i cant see any difference at Fps drop.

When driving at countryside, fps is good, but obviously it stutters and pauses when new areas come, or city etc.
something wierds going on, my CPU is an Athlon 3700 @ 3 GHz (so its faster than an FX57 by a small amount!), and my graphics cards a 7950GT - even when i turn all the options up its STILL CPU limited (100% CPU usage), seems like its doing some serious number crunching on the CPU
OK guys, I now present the biggest 'BUG' in racing game/sim history!
Forget all the gfx glitches and the sound issues, this one really takes the p1$$.

I was attempting the Tour of the Island race..had a massive lead, and was about 15 miles (24km) from the finish line, when I started hitting invisible bumps left, right and centre...at one time I was thrown right off the road, so I hit the famous 'B' to get back on quick...and the clock/timer reset to zero!!

Result...I cant see anybody beating THIS time for a while!!!

What a shame there isnt an option to reset the scores..I have almost got a guilty conscience!!

(Still rolling all over the house and changing my very wet knickers every two minutes!!)

Quote from Jakg :i'm using XTremeG 94's, working GREAT at TDU

These drivers have brought my average FPS up a few into the 40's, thanks for mentioning them. (Upgraded from 93.10 IIRC).

having a 1900xtx doesnt guarentee you will get playable performance...
Quote from Gabkicks :having a 1900xtx doesnt guarentee you will get playable performance...

as long as you dont go daft it does really, plays it pretty bang on on mine.
I just wanna play at mid to high detail, at 1280*1024, with maybe 2x AA....

P4 3.06
1gb ram
x1900xtx
surely i can "hoepfully" acheive that on that system
ouch, i think with that CPU you may be asking too much
On what level (NfS, Juiced, GTR, ...) are the physics? And is there any knowledge of a patch in the works that might fix those bugs?

I'd love to be able to free-roam across the country in beautiful cars with pretty accurate physics, but I'm not gonna buy some "I can take the corner faster bouncing off that wall"-game that is full of bugs...
Physics aren't anything special. Arcade style with some tweaks I would put it. Bouncing off walls slows you down. Once you start sliding you just spin in a bunch of smoke. But even so its extremely fun to blast around. I haven't unlcoked the harcore mode yet apparently that changes things even more than turning everything off.

Yeah the 7series don't do AA and HDR., but I'd rather HDR than AA. ATi will do both though.
i'd rather AA, but both would be better, thus why i asked :P
could do with more memory
so the 1gig isnt enough?
1 GB works fine here (what i have), but the one you linked to only seemed to have 512 Mb of RAM
What would be a good graphics card for TDU? I have a Nvidia 6200, as you can guess it does not work great! I can only run it on 800x600 with about medium to low quality! (800x600 is not to pretty either )

I see all your lovely screenies, it makes me jealous so I am going to hit the shops (online of course) or ebay for a new GFX card, anything you recommend?

I have a rough idea being in IT, but not in connection with this game so much
how much money you got? if i were ye, and ye had a PCI-e slot i would wait for the 8600's
