1.41 update

Ack! I really wanted to play BF2 this evening, but got wrapped up in doing new titles for the STCC broadcast. Tomorrow, Becky and I are going to be doing some work on the STCC server manager software first thing in the morning, but once that's done, I'm planning to have an LFS and BF2 day!

could someone post me a link to a working patch please?

I think the Mercury Boys gonna have to bring some pain!

Guess i better go re-install that badboy and go through all the cr*p of installing patch after patch after Add-on after Add-on...zzzzzzzz
Havent played since about August, know a few of the guys re-installed there copys last week to go back to it again, havent played 2142 since Xmas but BF2 was always better and the player roles have deeper meaning, and play a bigger role.

Mark, If the patch isnt installing, keeps failing on you for no real reason then check your HD room, it needs something like 1.5gb of free space in order to do it, it wont occupy the whole lot but i'd guess it needs to uncompress quite a lot of data to a temp area and then will remove it all afterwards, i know its caught be out a few times when everything seemed to be just fine.

ya i got plenty of free room, gonna re-install the game tomorrow and try again

Sorry... Is there some mod required? I reinstalled (and patched) BF2 the other night but it took so long the server was dead by the time I got there! Last two nights I've been getting wankered in Headingley and babysitting insane nephews respectively, so tonight I fancy a quiet night in getting beaten up by worse drivers than me.

all you need is the latest patch (1.41), i think i might head in now actually...

I tried this server tonight. Karkand was going on. I think 32 players maps are too big as there were maybe 6 of us... I think that planes would just make it worse16 players maps and we can have some forum member versus forum member battles instead of a whistle and a quarter second later bombs drop in your head

P.S. Can others see the server from game list? I tried without any filters, but couldn't find the game. With direct connection it worked flawlessly. Not a big deal, but I'd like to see if there is anyone playing before joining.

It's because it's passworded, just add it to your favourites

But there is no password filter too? Malfunction in filter? And how about smaller maps if this LFS server (thanks ukct for providing us one ) is going to stay online with few participants?
