sorry for the skin. I havnt had the time to make a good one. Ill post the scene if anyone is interested. It isnt perfect at all, Im still learning 3dmax. Sometimes it is really confusing

Why does that 'team' have so many spare tyres for the trailer, but none for the tow car or the race car?

Sorry, I know you said it wasn't perfect, but that was quite funny.
Another studio test.. edited materials, interior re-smoothed, lighting and experimented with a Vray camera.. seems to help keep the textures nice and sharp when viewed from an acute angle

Now to make some higher poly wheels

Taavi.. do you have a link to a guide for the alloy material you've used for the wheels? I've been hunting on and off for a while and not found much.

I "cheated" with the wheels on the last XRT I posted as the wheels are rendered and then applied back to the wheel as a texture. I don't think they came out too bad (wheel is so low-poly as it was meant for ingame, not rendering) but would prefer if possible to find methods to do it with just materials, assuming that's how you achieved the look
