Omg, i'm watching the GP2 Series, and it's still not raining...

This ITV coverage is a joke, they havent went 5 seconds without mentioning LH. Im a mclaren & hamilton fan, but this is just ridiculous.

Quote from DeKo :Is that hamilton lap the lap where webber held him up? he seems quite a bit faster in that video.

the laps you're looking at were (from memory) FA 1:15.4 and LH 1:15.5. The Webber issue was I think in part 3 of qualifying.

Is there a place to see the full qualifying times, not just q3?

Is it raining? Is it raining? Is it raining?
No rain, apparently it's 40% chance of rain during the race. No monsoon.
I hope something cool happens... If not I'm gonna be really hangry, I'm sleepy
Not even one lap and Liuzzi's out :P
Meeh...I think the rain was just a hoax to make people interested and watch the race. Doesn't look like it's going to rain today.

Not with 6 laps to go unfortunatly, nice to see 1 and 2 for alonzo and hami tho (so far anyway)
Booooooooooooooooooooooring!

There was not one single pass on the track, was there? At least not shown on TV.
The most boring Monaco, ever.
Not one pass I think, what an interesting race...
Well, was to be expected to be perfectly honest...

Agreed, not enough crashes either or nothing spectacular in that regard.
Hamilton could have won that race if Ron Dennis hadn't played it safe after 10 laps and had let Alonso and LH race each other.

Yes, it would have been risky and what he did is understandable, but 'playing it safe'=no fun to watch.

i understand you point of view 100%

my opinion is this........he is in the title race, both drivers and constructors, in some respects this is more important to him and the team than viewing figures.

as far as the race went......not exciting because of no overtaking, but the sheer skill of the drivers took my breath away.
This was probably the most boring F1 race I have ever seen. Hoping Canada will provide better racing than that shit.

Quote from thisnameistaken :I'm hoping for rain too. I've set up the barbeque in my back garden - that's usually all we need to do in England to guarantee rain.

you bastard, because of you i got f'ing soaked Karting, you wasted all the rain on the UK god-damnit!
First race this season I watched... or TRIED to watch, after the start I was already zzzz. Btw thanks to Swedish channel TV6 I can bear with the commentating with foreign language when the alternative ways would be watching some postage stamp sized internet stream or paying 100+ € or whatever to MTV3 for lousy pay-tv coverage and with even lousier commentators.

I think Monaco is the biggest farce of the whole GP circus which is in a way a farce itself. It's more like a celebrity meeting... even without the celebrity aspect, F1 in it's current form wouldn't meet the requirements of being an actual race.
Quote from J.B. :http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/h ... t/formula_one/6696953.stm

Don't like this at all as I feel tricked into believing I was watching a motorrace.
But at least they came out with the truth afterwards and the decisions made are understandable from a team point of view.

Tbh, Hamilton needs to whine less and take his head out of his arse. The 'monkeys' comment he made in the ITV interview and then all this crying makes him look the rookie he is. McLaren made the only call that was the right call, and Hamilton's comments on it were pretty careless. I dare say the team orders weren't 'let Alonso win' but more of the order 'the one who's in front after the last pitstops stays in front'. I.e., if Alonso had screwed up in the 2nd stint and ended up behind Hamilton after both had made their final pirstops, we would not have seen Alonso overtake Hamilton even if the former was able to catch up. I don't think Alonso would have made such comments, and portrayed himself as a 'victim' of some sorts.

It is all going to develop in a pretty heated few races between the two McLaren drivers, I can see it now. A lot like the old McLaren days with Senna & Prost.

Massa still has a good chance for anything at this point, so anything could happen. But if the two McLaren drivers get into this 'driver's title' mindset, they will surely be battling it out even harder. Though it does seem that the strategies for pitstops are catered way more towards Alonso in all these last 5 races. Hamilton is doing a damn good job regardless.

As for the race at Monaco... yeah boring, but it is expected. I will look forward to Canada and USGP a lot more, because watching this street race made me want to rip those barriers off so people could run wide.
