Negative "handicaps"?
Well, I know if they are negative they aren't handicaps really but...

For example all GTRs have 490Cv and more than 1100Kg.
IRL cars usually have more power and less weight and the engineers make restrictions in the engine and add weight to make the car legal... You design a 900Kg and 550Cv car and then you can adjust the air intake to stand under 500Cv and add some weight to be over 1100Kg... But in some races you can use your car at its full potential

So why not be able to use (not in hotlap mode of course) LFS cars with weight reduction and air intake restriction not from 0% to 50%, but maybe from -25% to 50%?

I hope someone understands what I want to say... It's so difficult to say it in english
You mean as well as adding weight, we can decrease it too?

I like this idea, it could be added to leagues that losers can lose weight while winners gain it

Yes, but I was thinking more in other tipe of races... A league of 900Kg GTRs for example, the same to all, not only for some racers. But of course it could be used as you say, too.

The only problem is, I think, we shouldn't be able to choose the "position" of weight we decrease...
I like the idea that slower guys could get lighter cars, so that they can catch up after making a mistake, it can get quite boring up front, u know
Sounds like a good idea, adding HP and taking out weight - the BTCC and WTCC IIRC take out weight. No R/L series uses intake restrictors as a similar job to lead anyway.

Pointless. Big big -1.

Everyone will use the best settings online because they will be forced to so they can compete. Its like the old S1 BL1 track where you had to go wide and off the track where there was still road surface to keep the speed through the S because everyone else did.

The end result will be as we have now in that you can only add restrictions because everyone will use the fastest setting, it will just mean the cars baseline is slighty better.

I think restrictions can be limited in the server... "Full power" option will not be available in all servers, or will it?
I agree with Woz. If negative handicaps were introduced the cars base specs would just be higher. Everyone would set the negative handicaps to max when ever possible.

How about adding torque and weight, and lowering the revs? Muscle cars FTW!
