Im catholic and acording to stuff we are close to god and apparently that makes teh devil want to do stuff to us right?

In the past month I have had 6 nightmares (not in a row but still) where I have actually seen hell and the devil and other people down there and the dream always ends with the devil saying "See you in a couple of years."

Its very creepy.
Why can't the devil be a pussy like the Robot Devil from Futurama?

i once dreamed that i stole my own bike the cops were after me and no one believed me!

my worst one(that i remember):
i dreamed that i got shot because i wanted to protect my mom(my dad shot me)

real:my dad said, if i dont pass for dutch(on my exams) he will kill me and then go to a comission to check my test nice guy aint he

Oh and athiests aren't bad people. They just don't believe without some kind of proof.

i think dreams are a way of the brain processing stuff that happened...
maybe you saw a movie, or something that was very quick, and the brain didnt have the time to know what it is...i dunno, dreams can be cool, but scary 2...

But I won't do it here.

I had my worst (or best) nightmare when i was 13 years old. Everything statrs when I was feeling I sleep, then, a strange sound wokes up me like a sound close to a tv no signal, after that, I thought that i was sleep, but... too weird, I can see a ball (pic 1) jumping too slowly on my room´s roof (ceiling). I began to be desperated.
That is not the best (worst) a numbers were running (pic 2) a meter front to me, while those numbers increase it was more desperation. I could not still waiting, so I got up my bed and seeing that ball I start to walk into my house, a round of 2 minutes everything disappeared.

Thats scary

I had one similar at about the same age- but in my dream it was a giant red jaffa ball rolling down the aisles at the supermarket, somehow with a giant microphone and screaming at everyone...

Well, my SCARIEST dream was a part hallucination. I was really weak and I accidentally took an ADULT's advil rather than a Junior one, I started getting dizzy. Suddenly I was hallucinating and I was walking into my bathroom. ( I am still awake) and after I do my business, I got scared because I thought there were a pile of XBoxes there. So I lifted my arms and tried to catch one because I thought they would fall.

After a few minutes I realized I was being crazy so I pulled up my pants and instead of washing my hands, I grabbed the soap and I got all pissed...because I thought we had no soap. So I threw it into the toilet and I grabbed the shampoo and covered my arms in it and washed my hands.


I walked into my living room and the next thing I remember is being really dizzy, and tired and "Trading Spaces" was on. My mother was talking but in my brain, I thought she was yelling so I was really nervous and I started to cry for no reason. And when she stopped talking the room started zooming out on me, and I thought that there were hockey players in my living room, using a large ball instead of a puck.

Then I walked into my room and slept again, and I dreamed that it was valentines day, and that everyone was shooting each other, and someone gave someone else a valentines card, and that person died. And all over the news there were people saying "Fatal School Card-Giving Results in 1 death"

I woke up again and I told my mom that I got 3 XBoxes from the bathroom, and next thing I knew, I woke up and my brother was playing on my computer, telling all of my LFS friends that I was better than them >_<





So it's not really a dream, but a lot of crap put together. I remember it so well, it makes me nauseous. . .

mmy worst nightmare was when i was racing and there was noobs all around me moaning in zombie voices, "brains.......... we have no brains" and then they hit me and i woke up screaming!

Thats's a hypnagogic hallucination, commonly experienced during sleep paralysis but also on its own without the paralysis when waking up/falling asleep. This is commonly experienced by all of us as hypnic jerks when falling asleep.

As for the octopus on the bookcase thing, I read it some "tales of the unexplained" encyclopedia thing years ago. Now I know it was a result of sleep paralysis.

Interestingly I was talking to a girl I know last night (when I was too scared to sleep, thank you guys and Wikipedia!) about this and she said she had experienced sleep paralysis and the hallucinations separately- the SP felt like someone had their hand round her neck and she couldn't move (typically it lasted a minute) and the hallucination was of a ghost girl which was gone when she looked again. It's more common than i thought. Fascinating stuff to read about but scares you when you get into bed!

Once I was having a dream, I "woke up" to be in another dream and knowing the next time I'd wake up I'd truely be woken up I went back to sleep only to find I was dreaming again. So By the 4th "dream" I decided I wanted to cause myself pain since dreams won't hurt you...I jumpped off my bed (was 7) and landed face first on the floor with a broken nose.

I like nightmares, just like good scary movies.

I've frequently dreamed about Aliens I mean these guys

chasing me. It's quite an experience. Might be because I saw the first movie when I was a tad too young. Playing the AvP(scary as a marine) and AvP2(not so scary) games has nothing to do with it

Once when there was only a wooden sliding door between me and a bunch of those guys I suddenly realised I was a Terminator!

It kind of spoiled the mood of the dream. What's there to be scared about a bunch of ALFs when you are made of titaniumalloy.

Funnily I've never been a Predator

or been chased by one.

BTW those three are the top 3 movie monsters!

PS. AvP the movie was a total turd. There was nothing right with it.
