Yes. I have done it. I have joined the brethren and sisterhood (Becky) and got me a wheel. They ain't cheap are they.
I feel a should explain a tad. Call it justification if you will. Whatever, it's cathartic for me.
I went to that there southhampton race meet at the place in the square with big screens and wheels and sound and no light and stuff. I have to be honest, it ruined LFS for me. I realised that just playing with the mouse I was only getting half, nay a quarter of the game play experiance that LFS offers. I also realised that I could be quite a fast driver which was a surprise to me as much to anyone. I have hardly played LFS since that meet just because . . . I just . . . I just couldn't do it. How could I mouse after experiancing that.
And thus we are here. I thought F*** it. I enjoy playing it. The justification for buying a wheel might not be on truly solid ground but I've seen how much some of you guys spend on your rigs and a 150 quid ain't a lot compared to some of you.
So after trolling oxford in search of a supplier of said equipment. I mean, what is the point of being a shop i you don't actually stock anything. Sure, If I want an xbox wheel or a wii thingy then I can purchase them till the cows come home but a Wheel for the PC, 'Sorry mate, don't stock those. Try PC World'. ARRRGGGGG!!! So after wasting my days trying to keep the traditional shopkeeper in business I turned to the great Flip Flap Wip Wop T'internet. A few short plastic numbers later and I have purchased myself a SuperNovaTechnicalThingymabob Gtwentyfive . . . ish. God knows when it will arrive and in how many pieces but when it does I am back. And back with a vengence 'caue I don't spend that amount of money and not get the worth from it.
Just thought I'd share. Laters kids.
