A hundred and fifty smackers brought me a G25
Yes. I have done it. I have joined the brethren and sisterhood (Becky) and got me a wheel. They ain't cheap are they.

I feel a should explain a tad. Call it justification if you will. Whatever, it's cathartic for me.

I went to that there southhampton race meet at the place in the square with big screens and wheels and sound and no light and stuff. I have to be honest, it ruined LFS for me. I realised that just playing with the mouse I was only getting half, nay a quarter of the game play experiance that LFS offers. I also realised that I could be quite a fast driver which was a surprise to me as much to anyone. I have hardly played LFS since that meet just because . . . I just . . . I just couldn't do it. How could I mouse after experiancing that.

And thus we are here. I thought F*** it. I enjoy playing it. The justification for buying a wheel might not be on truly solid ground but I've seen how much some of you guys spend on your rigs and a 150 quid ain't a lot compared to some of you.

So after trolling oxford in search of a supplier of said equipment. I mean, what is the point of being a shop i you don't actually stock anything. Sure, If I want an xbox wheel or a wii thingy then I can purchase them till the cows come home but a Wheel for the PC, 'Sorry mate, don't stock those. Try PC World'. ARRRGGGGG!!! So after wasting my days trying to keep the traditional shopkeeper in business I turned to the great Flip Flap Wip Wop T'internet. A few short plastic numbers later and I have purchased myself a SuperNovaTechnicalThingymabob Gtwentyfive . . . ish. God knows when it will arrive and in how many pieces but when it does I am back. And back with a vengence 'caue I don't spend that amount of money and not get the worth from it.

Just thought I'd share. Laters kids.
wish i had a g25 nice one though.
Your life will change after u get it. Why? the answer is simply: u will play all day all night with g25 (just like me) Good luck with it
Hehe. we shall see hey guys. We shall see.
While you're waiting, you could change your sig - the STCC userbars have been replaced with CTRA ones, but you need to edit your sig. Just replace [STCC] with [CTRA], and that same with the closing [] as well if you want to move to the new ones.

I was doing this by PM, but as there's you and e2mustang I thought I'd kill two (or more) birds with one stone and post it in the open.

PS - hope you enjoy the wheel after all that trawling about.
Yea. Noticed that. But was wondering whether my license held up with the new system or whether I would have to start again. Will have a play. You never know, I might have that Titanium moniker soon. hehe.

Edit - Yey. Still stands.
Congrats. And sorry I helped ruin LFS for you, I hope it will now become better than ever.

Just need to buy two more monitors next then.
God I know. I was chatting away to my mates yesterday in the pub and was saying about the three moniters thing. Need a bit more desk space first though, which means a bigger room, which means a bigger house, which means my own place, which means not spending my money on another two moniters . . . .

And you only spoiled LFS for me in the bestest way . . . .
The best thing about the G25 for me is the leather, my old wheel used rubber grips and every time I used it my hands smelt like I just molested a sex doll and the floor would be covered in little bits of rubber that rubbed off in the process.
i went in and priced other logitech wheels , the g25 wheel is 220 euro , and only model is 40 euro and the grand turismo wheel is 120 euro

seems like a wheel is Not worth getting

And after your girlfriend caught you alone once, getting up to mischief with Inflatable Irene, she just refused to believe you were up to anything clean when your excuse for being knackered and sweaty was spending three hours of intense battling to see who could come first, right?
Hey funnybear, grats on the wheel. I will be ordering my one very soon too.

spoken like someone who's never used a G25 - every penny i've spent on my PC has been eclipsed by my G25's immersiveness. I love it and so will you (after a week of "getting used to it"

Don't be silly, her name was Blow-up Barbie.

ive played with many wheels , and it seems to me that other then that grand turismo wheel , none are worth using cause after all i know most users of them wheels are around my own age and cant legally drive but if you can , id suggest saving up and building your own dirt cheap racing machine .

I had a ms sidewinder wheel for several years one from the early days of wheels for p's , handled pretty arcade-like but thought you the basics of driving ) so i wouldn't say that i have to adjust to a wheel more o a case of making your it steers progressive enough to suit my driving style

Another thing i noticed that is even when i was at the irish motor show last year and they had all the wheels , simulators and every racing game you can imagine . it seemed you will only get satisfaction with your wheel if you can get 60 + fps with good up to date drivers for the wheel ( because when i was playing toca , the pc they had set there was putting out atleast 70 fps ) and a decent racing style ( clearly ) but for me , Maybe if i get my father to build a new pc then id consider saving up for a new wheel.
Most of the people who own G25s on here are 20+. In fact, people on here who have wheels not only drive, a few take part in IRL racing.

And LFS runs on a liquidiser, if you can't get it to run on your PC then you need to sell your ENIAC to a museum.
Need to get something to replace my Red Momo too soon.
Seems like there's a blow up Barbie going cheap . . .
