NBS at Gilles Villneuve [contains spoilers]
NASCAR has posted the entry list for the NAPA Auto Parts 200 (Keep in mind this is the Busch Series not Nextel Cup

http://www.nascar.com/races/bg/2007/...ntry_list.html

Great international lineup : 27 Americans, 8 Canadians, 2 Mexicans, Marcos Ambrose (Australia), Max Papis (Italy), Niclas Jonsson (Sweeden), Andy Pilgrim (England), Alex Garcia (Venezuela)

I'm expecting great racing this weekend
Shame Montoya isn't racing. I reckon he'd do good here.
Huzzah, more people added to the wall of champions! This might be a race worth watching.
Heh. No space for Trever Boys to flip this time.

Anyone wanna pick a top 5? Mine is:

1) Said
2) Fellows
3) Carpentier
4) Harvick
5) Jourdain Jr

LOL he really IS famous for that flip :P My friend told me about it but my now i thought people would have forgot about that already.

Honestly I'm surprised by the international interest that NASCAR is getting :P
Grand-am was there last night, put on a decent show, good crowd.

The funny thing is how Slow everything looks compared to F1, seriously slowwwwwww motion....
It'll be an interesting race to watch.
Watching qualifying here and its a bit funny watching the practice footage, realizing how little these drivers can actually control the car in different situations.
I am wondering how yellow flags will work here (full cource or local?), also they are using a different qualifying format (labeled as "European" Qualifying) which is actually just several small groups doing 9 minute qualifying runs, which makes me wonder how the hell this is European because I've never seen any series qualify in this manner. They did talk shortly about Kubica's crash, but not really anything important.

LOL ya well the Daytona Prototypes and the GTs do go much slower then the Formulas. The Grand-Am Rolex race was quite interesting. At times I wish i recorded it

Many Rolex drivers will be competing in the NBS, as the commentators said during the race. "Its a way to give back to the NASCAR drivers who showed support to the Rolex series by competing in it."

Umm what race are you talking about Dawes? The Rolex or the NBS?
I'm suprised by how many people are in this race. I wish Ambrose luck; nice to see an Aussie boy in Canada.

The thing I'm most suprised about, which none of you seem to have mentioned, is the inclusion of Martin Brodeur (sp?). For anyone who doesn't know, he's one of the most famous NHL Goalies out there. It'll be interesting to see how he does for sure.

Brodeur's not racing, he's just watching from the pits.

The suit was deceiving, I know.
I was talking about NBS.

MAGGOT, Martin brodeur is just there, he's not doing anything else.

Clean T1 though, shockingly, but there was some fun crashz0rz already. Vancouver native though in the race, which is interesting. Don't have high hopes for him, but nice to have someone semi-local. This is probably the only Nascar race that has actually gotten me excited, and all the reason to get excited.

Also, on Nascar.com, there is a free, live Vidcast of the race, so if there's anyone that doesn't get Telecast of it, you can still watch.
I have a problem with that, I get sound, but no video.

DK
Hmm, how many aussies have won Nascar races? Searching for it and can't figure out how many.
Tried both, nothing worked.

On topic: GO AMBROSE! And Fellows is doing well.

How many laps before Boys flips anyone? :P

DK
Hmm, why wouldn't said Webcast work, it should in theory so it's strange that it doesn't.

Also, the Vancouver native is doing pretty decent, hovering around the top 10.
Garcia's dropped oil, full course yellow

Also, Carpentier is going well

DK

EDIT: In the chat, 'Garcia voted to restart (1/43), Press 1 to vote'
Bah, screw Carpentier, Me random Vancouver guy.
Dustin, get your ass in the live chat. I'm there sticking up for LFS! :P

DK
Noes, random Vancouver guy has Retired.
Hah. I am taking the p1$$ out of a load of random Yanks and watching the race. Chat's more entertaining. :P

Whats the odds that Ambrose will wreck

DK
Oh, I'm taking the piss outta american cars.

I guess that's what happens when you're not really paying attention to the TV when you're posting on the LFS forums.
I was only able to watch 15 minutes of the race . (I caught it right at the end) Wow Robbie Gordon's a jerk -_-. I really think he pushed it too hard. I mean taking Ambrose out was really low.

Good battle with Harvick and Carpentier. Wish Ambrose could have done better. But hey my fav stuntman turned driver Stanton Barrett went home with a 17th

BTW can someone tell me what happened to J R Fitzpatrick? He's scored 43th with no car number, no sponsor and ran zero laps (He's suppose to be in the 0 car). Did he just retired on the first lap or was he disqualified?
