Racers online includes Demo racers, and every other version afaik.... But it is not some false number like you think it is. And it is most definitely NOT one single version.

Dethred, just leave it be, don't create enemies, or better yet, don't let yourself become protrayed as a complainer. This isn't getting anywhere, not for you or anyone else......
You know, I can sorta agree with Dethred on some things. Mainly
the lack of online players. But that's not the games fault, that's just
how it is. When the page says how many Racers are online, I guess it's pretty obvious that it's a generalization meant to include ALL the people
playing whatever version of LFS. I don't know. I don't really pay attention to it. Yeah the single player end of LFS is kinda dismal (but we were told that beforehand). And In The Americas, online pickings are usually slim during "prime time" and since offline playing with the A.I. isn't really an option, it can get pretty frustrating. Alot of people have moved on.
As far as the physics complaints go, I just don't understand it. I mean in S-1 you were doing good to get an LX to make a lap on the track without spinning.
I don't know about the rest of the world, but LFS just Ain't happening here in the US. WE never really cared much for racing, real or games as a whole.
When I used to race slot cars years ago, even with the Nationals, the Texas Shoot out and whatever, the main players were Europeans who flew in.
Heck the track we used was invented by a Swede
So it makes sense to make as many languages available for this game.
Keeping it English only would not be a good idea.

Going back to the online thing....I filtered IN private servers a couple of times, thinking that that's where everyone went to. But that's just not the case. Those places are as empty as a drift server for GTi on the dragstrip.

Like I said I agree with some of dethred's issues, but for the most part it really does sound repetitive and whiny.

Exactly, and it is not the games fault. Even if Singleplayer DID work, it would probably make the amount of online US players worse. All it takes is a few people to go online and start some racing, and people will join. Of course, those people should NOT be picky about a few people racing in a 16 person server. The more people that join a server, the more others will come. You cannot be impatient at our timezones, a few people may join in one hour, not a lot, but it is progress. Plenty of people own S2 in the US, but most of them lose interest very quickly for playing online. Then when they come back to try online months later, what is left? Nothing. We have to struggle to get people to play online, but it is not a problem at all to do so.

If I really want to have some good races with people online, I just race midday and have a go for a few hours ([dSRC] server ). It is great fun, and in general, just find another time to race if you feel like it. Otherwise, don't make a constant mention of lack of players here, instead maybe you should organize something to get players to come in! (Like AtomAnt creating NASSA Race Night events... why not join those?)
I've wrote in the very beginning that if this guy writes "kissing someone's ass", the terms show his attitude. He has proved this idea successfully.
Closing this now,
all has been said
time to put this
topic to bed.
