Nice, although I'm not usually a fan of removing the emblems, but it kinda fits this car. After all it's an Opel...well, Vauxhall. But a nice one!

Blueflame, it looks a hell of alot better than a irmscher imo. Its his car, and this is the look he has wanted to go for, and imo, he has pulled it off well. Really makes the car look nice.

Nope, im pretty sure this is a N/A, because im sure i seen redman saying it was. Plus the wheels are the ones of the N/A and the some of the body parts look like ones from the N/A model, so im gonna go with this being a N/A

no its not a VXR, it is indeed a 2.2 n/a, i got this one for a reason, its my first propper rwd car, and i didnt want to buy the turbo / vxr and write it off after a day. so got this to get me used to it..
alot of members have said that it is better round a track than the turbo anyway, but not quite as good as the VXR.
its got 150bhp atm, but looking to get that upped to about 170ish..
it will do 0-60 in 5.5 atm, and top speed of about 140, but its not all about that.. if you was to drive one of these on the twisties.. oh my you will just fall in love!
and i got this over the elise because i didnt want a car to fall to pieces on me, the VX is better made than the elise and its actually more rare aswell! plus i think they look nicer.

Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong. Lotus build it, and like any subcontractor it isnt their pride and joy with the choicest parts. In fact manufacturing the first run almost bankrupted Lotus because Vauxhall was so unhappy with the build quality that they refused to pay for them until Lotus reworked them, delaying the new Elise. The VX220 is cheaper than a Lotus, because it's built cheaply.
Dont get me wrong its a nice car and i'd love one, just dont be fooled into thinking it's a Lotus when it isnt.
You know when you get into a Lotus, you know its a Lotus because it's a pig to get in to with door sills fatter than the wildest bellbottoms from the 70's, and you know when you sit in it that you are sitting in a car where the person who made it did not give a shit about comfort, it's like a go kart with a roof until you start the engine, when it roars, you realise it's not a go kart with a roof, it's a few pieces of metal with a bloody great engine celotaped onto it (celotape was lighter...)
It's quite a contrast when you get into the VX220, which is a Vauxhall in the same way that the BMW Z3 is a BMW.
It's a nice car, but its not a Lotus with added build quality.

i have been in an S2 and the boot was shite for example, the vx has boot lining, the vx doesnt fall to bits likie the S1 or even the S2.!. in my opinion the vx is alot better made than the elise also alot rarer. Even some elise drivers (that are not stuck up their own ass) have commented on the build quality of the VX compared to the Elise.
ill say it again tho, i have been in both and maybe it wasnt a well kept car but there was parts of the dash hanging loose and the door lining was falling apart, this was a 2005 elise, and mine is a 2001 and its still in alot better condition..
if you buy an elise you are not buying better build quality, ride comfort etc, you are buying a name, a reputation.. to me thats not everything, id rather have something rarer that works how it should.
and chris, its my mate driving.
