Tyre Marks
I'm not sure if this question is covered in another thread or not, and to be clear I'm referring to the temporary skid-marks rather than the line or groove.

When racing on-line are the marks left as accurate as your own car skid marks (i.e data is sent reliably to the server, and possibly not real time for accuracy) or is it the result of the client interpreting the other cars real-time vectors (so could be susceptible to lag conditions and mistakenly place marks when the car wasn't slipping)?
when you see a drifter in front of you who lags, they will often seem to jump around corners lagadelic style. Their tire marks follow the lag, not the actual path they took.
and that topic was covered in the near past as well.

Could you link please? I couldn't find anything with the search so knowing what keywords would be helpful in future?

Thx flymike91 - This was racing so I was wondering if lag was a factor as there was no way I could (or want to really) get the tyres to spin where some of the marks where appearing and I had noticed a couple with laggy connections in the race so guessed this may have been the cause but just wanted some confirmation.
I can confirm that tire marks follow the lag and not the actual path of the car.
sorry i misinterpreted the topic due to half reading the op post.

regards
