A word of warning, don't buy an 8800GT from overclockers, the ETA dates seem entirely fictitious and they bill you straight away even when they don't have stock. Reading their forum it seems the ETA dates are simply the next batch of that card, not taking into account the back orders.

I bought the Crysis edition mainly because it was the only EVGA card with an ETA (last Friday), if only I'd bothered to check the forum first. I think I might try and cancel the card or at least get the rest of the order sent separately if they can't deliver it by the current ETA (next Friday).
Ouch.

Time to add that to the long, long list of reasons not to buy from OcUK. Shame, as their site is the best, but maybe it's time to look at Scan now i get free delivery *evil eyes*

Lucky for me I live not far from their retail premises. I get the same prices, choice of stock etc, plus I can just pick up the item straight away.
just to add ive bought loads of stuff from ocuk and never had a single problem
no no no, nothing to compare againts ebuyer.com

Ordered my PC from there, and the Zotac 8800GT Superclcok is £160
well just bought a new razer headset from ocuk and again cant fault them

I've e-mailed them and in fairness they've replied and told me that I've been allocated a card on the 30/11 batch. They also said that the pre-orders were taken into account on the ETA/stock display system and that 30/11 was the date indicated when I ordered, which pisses me off because it was displayed as 23/11 (and that was still on their website a couple of days after I ordered). Equally annoying they took the money straight away when they can't even confirm the delivery to the nearest week...
i had alook today says that they have some in stock, some bfg ones i think
Quote from andybarsblade :i had alook today says that they have some in stock, some bfg ones i think

They've got some stock and seem happy to do swaps but I've ordered an 8800GT Crysis edition and on a matter of principle (and the fact it's what I want) I am not going to start swapping just because somethings supposedly in stock.
I'm now really pissed off with Overclockers. I haven't been able to register on their forum yet because they don't accept Gmail addresses (though it was no problem to place a £500 order with one). I dug out my school e-mail address and used that but I'm still waiting for my account to be manual enabled.

On the forum the guy has said that the Crysis cards arrived yesterday and all back orders have been dispatched and they've then sold the rest of the stock they received. My order status still says 'in our warehouse queue' rather than printed in the warehouse or dispatched. If when they ring them up or I finally get on their forum that I've been missed off and they've sent out Crysis cards to people after me I will simply explode at them and cancel my order.

I should have listened to Jakg's advice to avoid OC
I don't like OcUK because it's run by a racist bastard and has a habit of flouncing Trading Standards law. It's a shame, as they have the best website in the business.

My favourite is eBuyer thanks to free postage, although they do price gouge, their search is crap, their descriptions are crap and they use Shitty Link. Aria have a nice site, but postage is £6, and while i might save a few quid there, i usually order one part at a time making eBuyer cheaper. Scan are ok, never used them, but thanks to a deal i've got free next day (i think) delivery on all orders over £20, quite keen on their mobo range, too.

Just wish we could get NewEgg in the UK - £3.70 for 3 day delivery to the whole of the US :X
Finally says printed in warehouse. So I guess delivery on Monday, a week late but at least it seems to finally be coming.

Definatly a BIG shame. I've been pissed about by them so many times, I had 3 RMA's in a 6-part build, the third of which took 3 attempts to get it back to the depot without them sending it back. Cost us £15 in postage and they didn't bat an eyelid about it.

Unreasonable...So and so's. Ebuyer FTW!
eBuyer ftw? Currently i'm involved in sending a part back (second P5K = Dead...!), seems that if you have a Business acount after 28 days they tell you to return the part to the manufacturer, even though the manufacturer tells me to send it to the retailer. GRRRR.

Luckily i got a response to an email and an RMA setup inside a day, though.
ebuyer are the best...next day delivery, even when my card was declined...was free, and prices are cheap, nice easy to use website
Next Day delivery isn't free from eBuyer and their site sucks, the search doesn't work, things are mis-labelled, and the descriptions are often full of gobbledegook, but it's the free delivery (which is within 5 working days on orders £49.99 and over) that keeps me with them.

comeon...the £10 don't make a difference....apart from an anti-static wrist band...you aint gonna get much for £10...ebuyer, i think their descriptions are good...what more do you want?
£10...?

£10 for me is the difference between alot of stuff, including having petrol to go to School (...and to see "certain people") for a week.

Their descriptions are usually nicked from manufacturers sites, and so often miss bits, and often have wierd symbols thanks to the software you use.

£10 is a lot you know. Would you rather have £10 or £0? Using your logic, you'd have either.
Quote from mcintyrej :£10 is a lot you know. Would you rather have £10 or £0? Using your logic, you'd have either.

not really...because the £10 you get next day delivery...other than waiting 5 days for it to be free...where you can EASILY earn more that £5 in 5 days...in other words, £1 a day.
No offense Harjun, but I really don't think you understand how much money is worth. $20 is a lot of money to throw away just for the instant gratification. Besides, the best part of ordering something is the wait to get it.

Anyway, I stick with Newegg, cause they only charge $5 shipping and it usually gets there in two days, and SOMETIMES overnight.
does nobody use dabs? their delivery is 1-3 working days (free) and they usually deliver next day (depending on what time you order obviously)
Dabs do free delivery?!

Why does no-one tell me this

/hunts Dabs for new mobo's :P

EDIT - http://www.dabs.com/Article.aspx?ArticleId=2426 - This Weekend Only, it seems - they just sold me a P5K-E with that! Yay!
Just had a response from OC, delivery Tuseday, which has further pissing me off seeing as the parts were supposedly in stock on Thursday and I had no option but to buy next day delivery from them for £11 and it's still over a week late.
