drifting is fun in lfs... of course by drifting i mean burning tyres , and by fun i mean the people who do it have no life... dam kids keep trying to give drivers a bad name

*sigh* over-exagerating again? "the people who do it have no life..."
i drift, and i have a nice life, i go out alot etc etc. So again, your wrong. judging by your driving on CLC ben, you wont be able to drift for crap, you could'nt even handle the UF1 well.

IMO people should just stop correting another person's preferences, it's impossible to correct an interest.

I was playing GT4 for quite a while... And now, yesterday, when I started playing LFS again after I got bored to GT4 (AI racers are stupid), My HANDBRAKE button broke down! Didn`t even think that I used handbrake this much untill now!

It`s freaking hard to keep the slide at the straightaways and link corner to another without handbrake Also saved me from many straightenings.

Guess now I gotta put my little money on a new wheel...

Any suggestions on a good wheel which is as reliable as my old one? I have Logitech Formula Force GP at the moment... Worked fine for around 5 years. And still works fine, handbrake button is just broken.

Logitech DFP. Low price and very good quality. Or, if money is not a matter, check out the Logitech G25 or a Virtual Performance Parts wheel

Guess I`ll go for the DFP =)

Gonna took a while to get one though, we`re quite low on money =/

There are good wheels that ain`t costs that much.
My wheel, Saitek R440 had a lot of problems in the start, but after some time it started to be good, and now I really enjoy using it, and could not want a other wheel
And by the way, G25 is overrated, it`s not like a tool from the haven as someone sais it is.

Have you ever used a properly setup G25?

I'm geussing the answer is no - if i'm right then wtf are you on about with it being over-rated?!

It's very good, but for £150 you'd expect it to be!

Lol overrated? I got a G25 after using a momo force for 6 years. When i bought it i thought it was abit of an unnecessary buy, but when i plugged it in and started doing some laps i was shocked at how good it was. I couldnt believe i had been racing with that momo force toy for 6 years. After i got the G25, racing games is what i game 80% of the time. Before the G25 around 20% game time was racing games.

I have tried it, a friend of me own ones and I loaned / rented / borrowed? it from him when he was on vecation. Sure, I`ll admit that the FF is the best out there, but thats basically it. I rather have a cheaper wheel and S2 lisence than buying G25, it`s good, but not as good as you say it is.

Noononono.. CANNOT agree on that.. You only tried LFS with g25 I suppose.. Well, the game, in wich, I can feel the difference the most is RBR, the response time is so crucial, the ff is just ownage, and , it even wants a better pc spec, since the CPU just blows up with combo g25+rbr.. The shifter, is a cool thing, altough fragile on first look, it OWNS.. and then.. The pedals, I mean, they are not slipping away, in the first week, my left foot was kinda tired, and I was braking too little all the time in RBR. Then there is the FEEL of the wheel itself, I mean I look @ my old Formula Force Gp, and it seems, childishly small xD And the g25 ISNT expensive objectivly at all, I mean, its actually cheap, when you see what you get... Ok, so it does have its bugs, but mine is 100% fine, so it was the perfect choice, the momo I tried @ store, just felt, a level below g25....
G25 is NOT overrated, its just that good of a buy.

Edit: You better remember that I can`t use handbrake anymore and that I haven`t driven in LFS for over a month.

Haha! I`m fine with it.

I WAS drifting at the HCGC server, untill everyone got kicked :P I have a bad headache and the sound my wheel makes doesn`t help it at all, or the squeeling dumpvalve sound =P

I`ll be there again tomorrow. If anyone of you gives a uhhh

Edit: =o I dodged some guy doing a burnout in the last corner before the backstraight. I was coming at usual speedto the corner, then I saw this guy doing a burnout in the middle of the road and he wasn`t moving anywhere! So I had to straighten my car becouse it wouldn`t have gone sideways through the small hole on the left side of the burnoutter. After I passed him I gave a small kick on clutch and started going sideways again.

It`s hard to explain with crap vocabulary like mine, but it felt damn cool.
