when i run either dedigui or the proper program it asks for an ip adress as i try to host it, when i go to join via lan, it asks what the ip is, well i dont know! im currently looking for an old memory stick running version of netscan
Bear in mind that "cmd" is only available on newer versions of Windows, and that "command" was the previous default. Equally you should remember that "ipconfig" is only available on NT based systems, and "winipcfg" was available on 9x based systems.
Depending on your router (if you are using one, and not direct connections), it'll probably be something like 192.168.0.x (where x will be somewhere around 2, maybe upto 10, and potentially 255).
i was trying to get it working at school, we are all limited users, and have many routers, out usual IT technician didnt know, but google did, i can run the command prompt, but it then says that it has beenn dissallowed by the system admin
as i said above, i cannot access RUN from the Start Menu, and using a shortcut i pre-created it says that it has been forbidden by the System Administrator, i think ive found out how to do it though, you'll find out for sure tommorow...
