Mmmmm, head goes around when imagine that.
I always liked the styling of the E92...

With that big intake(?) on the bonnet, where did they fit the engine? Is it still a V8?
Wow! I really, really like the look of this
That thing is freaking awesome....
Quote from srdsprinter :God.... It would be cool if we got an ///M-Power Motorsport Pack:

E30 M3 (Could compete with the mGTRs)
M3 CSL 3.0
E36 M3 GTR (Start our GT3 class)
E92 M3 GTR (483 HP would fit in nicely with the GTR's)

Am I right in saying the e46 M3 CSL was not released in North America?
bash0r none of the 4 links works (hotlinking).
Quote from Gabkicks : exactly what i was thinking lol. the devs could maybe get an opportunity to get more physics information/understanding in the process?

I sincerely doubt we'll see this in LFS. The other two BMWs were through deals with other parties, not through BMW themselves. The fact that we have two real Beemers is purely coincidental. This has to be explained everytime a BMW comes up....

Quote from ajp71 :It just looks a bit like Chris Bangle took a racing car that ended up with a big bodykit for aerodynamic reasons and tried to style it, a bit like...

I doubt Bangle had any hand in the development of the race car.

Quote :Mazda tried with that 'wind/nature' sports racer, which looked stunning and completely different, but if you try and do that to an already overly aggressively styled car it just looks silly.

Are you refering to the Furai? That car is the most beautiful concept car I've seen in years. Full stop.
It's nice, four major makes now in GT2. Too bad it's GT2 that seems have the most competition while all other classes are going down the toilet in ALMS.

edit: whoops, I didn't notice this project is for 2009

Hmm... I don't rightly know. Perhaps only a handfull if we did?
'Racecars shouldn't be confined to racetracks.'

I agree! Now BMW please send me one to keep on my driveway.

QFT! Though i'd be happy with a black, ordinary M3... :>
Take one ugly BMW, add ugly bodywork bits and hey presto a REALLY ugly car.

Might be quick, but I bet the driver is an **** and never uses his indicators I'd take a slower, prettier car any day

i give... even so it needs wing... i dont like that

We know Tristan, someone caught you the other day with a new perm sitting in your MX5

The car doesn't do anything for me. Nothing on it screams "get out of my way" or "don't mess with me" It does look well put together, most BMW's do, but they don't give me any emotion.
Well, by definition, German cars are like the Terminator. If they show(/evoke) emotion they fail their mission.

I really don't care what it looks like. BMW finally needs to get a proper car out there. I mean, last time I checked they actually had to put an effort into it to win in the WTCC. That's not in the tradition of german car engineering.

Quote from ajp71 :Although some of the earlier cars were even more exciting to look at.

Those seventies 'batmobiles' still tickle me somewhere I shan't mention... In comparison this GT2 car looks refined and tasteful, too clean, white, and virginal perhaps. Really not sure where the 'ugly' opinion is coming from, but I'll bet it'll look a bit different once its race cherry is popped...

2009... Shame; would really like to see this at Sebring in March...
Man it looks so mean +1 for this or any BMW touring car (please this one) in LFS!
