Quote from dawesdust_12 :Yes, everyone rallys becuase people died... Do people also practice suicide because others have killed themselves too?

i said death because it's exciting to ESCAPE death... if there where no chance of death then extreme sports would be pointless...
Many folks would stop racing every now and then, to shout insults at the people of nearby planet rFactor and at the guys in the SimBin constellation (not to mention the weirdos inhabiting the faraway Arcade galaxy).
Quote from Mikkel Petersen :What would being banned from the master server because you suck, be compared to?

Being banned from life because you suck at it?

it would be like being executed for committing treason...

A lot of people who like rally do like it for the "extreme" atmosphere. But in my opinion the people who view rally as a form of RACING instead of just a show made up of death defying stunts are real rally fans. Racing should always be more important than the glamour.

Everyone would have the same E-penis.
Quote from JJ72 :Everyone would have the same E-penis.

Disagree

You'd get people going in for e-penis surgery based on the amount of miles they've done on ovals, for instance

If someone is stuck in front of you on the fast lane, you could shout "BLUE FLAG BLUE FLAG OUT OF THE WAY" and people would understand.

You are always afraid when you are parking, because when you slowly hit the trotoir you will take of and find yourself flying through the air.

When taking a left where others cars go right you find yourself kicked of the streets for going the WRONG WAY.
You don't like the skin on your car so you go to the big car skin shop (lfsforum ) and buy a new one.

By changing your skin you must upload it to LFSW or others can't see it

Exciting to escape death? If I would almost die in a race, I wouldn't be excited, I would be terrified!

"Wov, I almost hit that wall at 200km/h. I feel so lively! This is fantastic! I will try to touch that wall at higher speeds tomorrow!"

vs

"Oh my god, I nearly killed myself! I should quit racing and concentrate my energy to my family. For God sake, I have a 5 years old daughter! What would she think if I kill myself?"

Idiot vs humane...

obviously, you haven't skateboarded in your earlier days... it goes more like this...
"whow, GOD DAMN! THAT WAS ****ING CLOSE!!! I WOULD HAVE LOST AN ARM THERE, THAT WAS A MIRICLE!!! THANK YOU GOD!.... now i am going to get back to driving again..."

i have actually done mountain biking off of cliffs back in middle school till freshman year.

actually, once when a car hit me, while i was going to school, i tried to run away from the scene... since i don't wana be bothered with the hassle of going to the hospital(no insurance)... idk what i was thinking... they had to chase me down with an ambulance, and have a medic tackle me to get me to the ER... it turned out i had a fractured shoulder and 3 splinter ribs, 2 of them where about to puncture my lung, lol ... it was okey, but i still mountain biking and other sports after the incident... and i tried arguing about the incident with the driver before i ran... he was talking on his cell...

Maybe you should read my comments again:

Maybe I should reword it this way: Racing is more about the competition between cars than the thrill of "defying death". This should and usually does include Rally. Which is why it's sometimes excluded in the list of extreme sports.
Quote from Stang70Fastback :S2 players would be normal people.
Demo players would be the kids with their riced out cheapo cars.
Drifters would be like those nighttime zombies in I Am Legend... lol.

HAHA! I almost cried from laughing when I read this
parking in front of a fast looking car, blinking head lights and yelling:

"may I try your set?, perhaps that will make my Punto faster..."
Quote from EmilO :And what about lerts?

We'd pray in the direction of his house, five times a day. Or he would be president

There'd be loads of people asking for turbochargers for their car, because the old type of chargers wouldn't fit anymore.

People would join families, wear family tags, put family stickers on their cars, and switch to different families every once in a while
LOL Lerts as president :P
hmm... i wonder where babys come from if LFS was applied to reality...

Ahem, that's Scawens title! Lerts would be more like a kings fool.

There would be no more babies. There would only be new demo users popping up now and then. As they progressed through maturity, they will see the errors of their ways and eventually purchase a license for S2. Occasionally though, some not-so-mature will fall through the cracks and get their license, thus the drift community will continue in S2 from these, while those whom have matured will become productive racers on S2 racing servers while typing in complete sentences and using actual words when communicating.

Tut tut, I drift and race, yet I talk in complete sentences, maybe you should be more careful with your very sweeping generalisations.

If LFS was in real life, the world would consist of several communities, doing different things with their cars, natrually, each group will look down upon and slag off eachother, oh wait, that IS real life.

^nice one! i agree, if LFS was real life, everything would be the same, except we would have a physics system derived from a game! and we would be stuck in our car...
Haha, awesome clip
