Have read all the posts but has anyone seen the police on the side of the bridge going to the second big island pulling cars over and doing checks on them? Seems to be getting really realistic which I like in these sort of games.
Seen it, yep.

Yup, I've seen it a few times. It's cool.
There's a lot of really cool features that make the city feel more alive. Like random criminals being chased round the streets by cops. It's funny, but don't try to help the police out by beating the guy down - you only earn yourself a wanted star of your own for that
Has anyone tried to "park" a helicopter outside of one of the apartments on the parking lot?

The fun part is, the traffic will try to drive around it... and they don't seem to understand that the rotors are way above them, since they actually try to drive around the rotor aswell. Results in cars driving on the sidewalk, crashing into oncomming traffic... causing big chaos. Fun to watch!
One time i was driving through algonquin and out of no where a futo goes speeding past and then a siren comes on and the futo stops.
Can anyone give me a little bit of help on the mission when you need to get Elizabeths coke back (The Snow Storm) I have left it behind but it's still there, I have moved onto other missions because the N.O.O.S.E Just annoy me on the Elizabeth mission. I have only ever got out there once alive but got caught, has anyone else had problems with this mission??.
I just ran right through the building and out the door. None of the police where really ready and I escaped in my Bobcat no problem.

Ok, since this is a spoiler, i'll write it in white letters: That's the mission when you go in that old building, pop some drug dealers, take the cash and there's police all over the place? Well, just take the cash and run outside, don't shoot the police, as you will only get more Wanted level, just run for it, get in a car and loose your wanted level. I've parked a car just outside of the building and left the door open, that's the best way...
Ah, I found an easier way again to do it

Spoiler: Go from the coke room, right, then left, into a fairly big room with the ceiling missing. Climb up onto the barrel in the middle of the floor, and hop up onto the roof beams. Then you can run along the ceiling, and jump off the side of the building, and you're almost right beside the car park where you started. At this stage, all of the police are in the old hospital, or at the entrance, so there's no-one to stop you escaping.

It did take a few goes to get it though. I had tried battling through a couple of times, but they're just too strong with body armour
Ok, White Letters: So as soon as I get off the phone to little Jacob run for it, the only trouble I have is finding the bloody door to get out lol. I have got out before, got to the pay'n'spray and loads of police just came and blocked me in and busted me, i'll try it in a bit so if I can complete the mission.

There not when you use the machine gun you get when doing the mission
Spoiler - click to reveal when you have to kill the union leaders in the building site.
i tried this mission 4 times before i done it.

Spoilers might come up, white letters.
First of all get ur self a body armor and full hp.
OK so get a fast car, like a merc or something. ONce u get to old hospital take out 2 of union leaders by the fence, then take ur car to the little bit of broken fence, Leave the doors open. When u get teh coke the easiest way to escape is by ignoring all the NOOSE guys. There is only 3 inside the hospital so they cant shoot u that much.
The exit to ur car from the coke room is. Left, Straight all the way into big room where u took out 3 union leaders and then right through the door. Get in the car and pedal it down. Press start and mark ur GPS to a Pay n Spray in the first city. This will help u as you have a fast car. U will have to go through the bridge but its quite long and straight most of time so you should get away from the range of the cops. By then if u still havent lost them go to Pay n Spray. But you should have them begind u.

Hope this helps
cops can apear out of nowwhere, so the pay'nspray might fail , and iiir there are more then 3 swat men/cops in the building
Does anyone else find the game suprisingly easy though? I'm about 60% through and have really only failed a few missions. No cheats.

Tbh the 'cover system', whatever you want to call it, just makes it so easy to hang back and take out people one at a time, which is fair enough I suppose.

The only time you could really ever die is if you run out in the open, then of course yer you get shot to pieces very quickly.
yup its very easy compared to SA but that doesn't make it less fun!
I agree, it's really easy at some points. Still great fun however.

If you find it too easy, try to switch off auto aim. This was the first thing i've done in GTA4 (i was kinda surprised to see it's possible), and it made the game so much more rewarding.

I use manual aim online aswell. Even if the host is allowing auto aim (and everybody will use it of course). It's just much more satisfying to actually aim and hit, rather than press a button to lock on to your enemy, and then simply hold down the fire button until your clip is empty... i mean, come on, are we in Kindergarten?

Nevertheless, even with manual aim, the game is quite easy, yep!
Can't say it's hard, but it's also not easy, at least for me, as i'm not so much of a gamer..
The thing i don't like is when you fail a mission, you have to drive allll the way again.. I mean, i love to drive the cars, the physics are great, but it gets anoying when you repeat the mission a couple of times...
That's why you park a helicopter on your parking lot and save it.
Yeah, the driving thing wouldn't be such a big deal if it also reset your ammo count and put your car back. The fact that you lose the ammo you spent and the vehicle you used while the enemy goes back to full power can be a little frustrating in longer missions.
When you fail a mission, you get a text asking you do you want to retry. Then it leaves you at the start again. So there isn't that much driving...

Good idea, didn't think of that before.

Yer don't get me wrong, it is still the most fun I've had playing a game this year.

YEAH BABYY!!

But where do i find it, can i get it via cheat and then save it, will it corupt my save game as it was the case with previous GTA's?
You can get helicopters easily from the 2nd island, down on the bottom right of the map.
