Hi Guys!

I have a serious problem. While recording with Fraps, the mouse pointer always remains on the screen. Watching the recorded video, it's also there...
Question: How can I remove that? I haven't find such an option though...

I had this problem just yesterday. I think it's a new feature in the new patch, I have test patch Y24. You have to press shift+f twice now, once to leave just mouse cursor and slider at bottom of screen and again to clear all.

guys, in VirtualDub, when I save the movie, I can't find the option for XviD or DivX. do I have to install something else or am I just a n00b? :/

1. video - full processing mode
2. video - compression - xvid codec
3. file - save as

sorry thats what I meant, when compressing (F7), I can't find the Xvid codec option.

before hiting F7, go to compressing....then you can choose divx or other...then use the settings at your right i think.

If i recorded in halfspeed and sped it up and the sound stays the same, i know u cant changne it in virtual dub. but can u speed up sound in vegas 8?

Yes. I have Vegas 7. What I do is ctrl+click the edge of a sound event. The symbol should change to a wiggly line, and when you click and drag the event, it should get shorter and the waves more compressed.

You can also do it in other way if you want to... on the sound lane, click to apply non-real-time-event FX, then on the effects list, choose the pitch shift one.
You'll get a small window with the shift pitch value (standard = 0) ( -50 to 50). If the sound is at half the speed, you should change the value from 0 to 30.

Since the new patch I can`t use GameCam to record my driving, so is there any other programs, which would be free and would record more than Fraps`s 30 seconds?

Can anyone explain how to apply and suggest any suitable effects in Vegas? Just to get that movie polish

I'm trying to compress an uncompressed video to divx or xvid in VirtualDub, but when I go to file menu Video\Compression dialog I only see 5 available codecs to render with:

(uncompressed RGB/YCbCr)
Fraps Video compressor
Intel IYUV codec
Microsoft RLE
Microsoft Video 1

I don't see any Xvid or DivX codec available, although they are installed. Any one have any idea on why this is happening?
