Bob: Thanks for those, listening to Sugarcult right now, and liking it. Will be checking out the other ones soon!

Anyone into electronic music, check out Orbital though many might already know about them.
Some warm analog electronica with a certain nostalgic something to it:
The Mitgang Audio - The view from your new home

He has also has done some remixes for Solvent, one of Canada's finest - whom I'd recommend as well, just about anything from him (especially "Apples and Synthesizers").

Some excellent middle-eastern jazzy/klezmer stuff with a CC license I stumbled upon recently called Faren Khan.

Some ambientish electronic music with an HP Lovecraft underlying theme to it:
Forma Tadre - The Music Of Erich Zann

EDIT:
Forgot to mention Deadbeat's "Journeyman's Annual" - some excellent dub riddims going on there.
Try this, I like too much I listened to it twice!
Well sifting through my music collection i'd say I listen to most anything old or new.

I'll always love Bruce Dickinsons voice (lead singer Iron Maiden) even though he's a guy and I had a fight with him once (documented somewhere else on this forum). His tones just 'do it' for me .

Some of my favorite new descoveries this year are Animal Alpha; Mindless Self Indulgeance; and Mad Capsule Markets. All are quite heavy bands with a black metal meets contemporary punk sound.

I've gotten quite into Lordi recently, ignoring that they won Eurovision a couple of years ago they're actually quite good! Who's Your Daddy!

I still like Abba though, and David "The Voice" Bowie, and desperately want to get some Queen back in my collection. All timeless classics.

I've listened to some of The Verve lately, and as always when in relationship difficulties i've been playing R.E.M.
Albany Down are awesome! They deserve to win lots of awards and be given a load of money! In fact, I also hear you can download a free DVD-quality video of their top-scoring performance in London from their website

I've actually been listening to some GTA4-soundtrack-inspired stuff recently and really got into Lloyd. I really love "I Want You", despite it using a Spandau Ballet sample

Also really like Duffy. Her voice could be really annoying, but it somehow manages not to be.

Orbital are the best British band of all time. Better than The Beatles. Got all their CD albums and many singles etc but only 1 vinyl (Orbital III). However many artists I end up listening to sooner or later I will always end up back at Orbital, they redefined Electronic music as we know it, no one else before or after even came close to what they did
Hmm. Didn't have anyone in my last post

Well, I can't recommend music but metal fans should (maybe) try Disturbed.
Liking Jeff Buckley, though haven't listened to too many songs yet. Check him out!
I never did like COB

I recomend Dragon Force friken sik guitarist and all out great band!
CoB are fantastic musicians, but I never have been keen on the whole swollen larynx black metal vocals. Every time I hear CoB i'm awestruck by their music prowess and just wish they'd give some rock or regular heavy metal a go without doing the whole 800 cigarettes a day vocals. Not that I dont listen to a bit of black metal from time to time, it just isnt my favorite.

I've updated my music list now, though the page varies depending on if i'm DJing. If and when I can get a full time licence for broadcast i'll put the stream URL. http://www.beckyrose.com/?p=music

Mostly i'm listening to Placebo and Feeder of late. Placebo have a great alternative sound, and Feeder are a sort of mix between alternative and classic rock.
Placebo's great, I concur.
Not really lately, but Cascada's always been a band taht i really liked.
My All time favourite band is: The Dave Mathews Band

Their best stuff is always done live.
After making a purchase on a whim i've descovered Girlschool. Classic high energy rock, although their stage precense in this video is lacking, they're loud and packing attitude. OK not as much attitude as L7, but that's probably a very good thing!

iTunes has their "The Collection" album of 48 songs for £8, which sounds totally reasonable to me.
Becky, if you like COB but not the singing, have a listen to Kiuas - musically they're very similar (fast, technical, keyboard-driven metal) but it's done with clean vocals.

Oh these guys are cool, listening courtesy of You Tube now. I've used my allowed iTunes purchases for this week though! I had to limit myself because I got a bit manic a while back and overspent lol, i'm only allowing myself 1 album a week now!

EDIT: *sniff* I wants it.
haha, I'm like that just with CDs and Amazon... especially on payday (which was yesterday ).
I never was very good at ahering to rules...
