Thanks guys, yes I was lucky to find such a nice place to take some pics It's actually not a drop-off at all behind the first shot, just a gradual slope. But I took the picture from low enough to the ground that you can't tell I have attached another one taken from a standing position in which you can see that it just gently slopes away. However, there are a few places where it does drop away very steeply and for a long distance. Not the corners to try and get your knee down on, that's for sure!!! My friends GSXR-750 is also in this one... we rode baker together which was a lot of fun.

At least it's looking better than the current model, which I find pretty... tame looking. Very unoriginal, uninspired... boring. I still think the gixxxer beats the R1 in the looks department. But I guess you can't argue about personal tastes.
