The price at the pump is 3 months behind the price of the barrel. So whilst prices went up straight away when barrel prices went up, they're sure taking their time to come down again... Apparently it needs "competition" to happen, and whilst you lot are still driving and not using competing forms of transport, the industry is quite happy with it's high prices...
Basic rule of supply & demand economics. If you want petrol prices to come down, stop buying it.
There is such a thing as choice. I live in the far end of a quite village in the middle of the country and use only a bicycle. I accept it wont work for everyone, but if I can make it work in the middle of the sticks, i'm sure more people could.
