Gasoline is getting cheaper
red from newspaper this morning that gasoline is getting cheaper in finland and sweden. they counted it to be about 5 cent cheaper for litre than normal. isnt very big change but i hope it gets even more down
Same goes for norway, but it did not go down that much. Had to use xe.com to find out how much that is in dollars, anyway, it whent down with 0.036 / litre .

But again, I don't drive cars, nor really care for fuel price, but for the ones that does I think it's going to go down more and going in the wanted direction, downwards
The price at the pump is 3 months behind the price of the barrel. So whilst prices went up straight away when barrel prices went up, they're sure taking their time to come down again... Apparently it needs "competition" to happen, and whilst you lot are still driving and not using competing forms of transport, the industry is quite happy with it's high prices...

Basic rule of supply & demand economics. If you want petrol prices to come down, stop buying it.

There is such a thing as choice. I live in the far end of a quite village in the middle of the country and use only a bicycle. I accept it wont work for everyone, but if I can make it work in the middle of the sticks, i'm sure more people could.
Fuel in Ireland hasn't decreased in price for at least over a month now, petrol still being 1.24.4 euro to the litre and that is the cheapest I have seen. Diesel is at 1.31.7 at the cheapest I have seen. Hopefully it should go down shortly again

The nearest petrol station to me is 1.25 a litre,
It does kinds average out at that rate.Hopefully it will go down shortly again.

$4.15/gallon here (which is almost a dollar cheaper than it was last week). I average 15 (give or take) miles per gallon in my truck. With a 30 gallon fuel tank it costs me $120 to fill up.

Hell, it costs me $40 worth of gas everytime I cut my grass now. I see some very high grass in our future.

Crashgate3, It would take me a week to cut my grass with that thing! LOL!

I know that it is cheap compared to other parts of the world , but it is high compared to what we are used to. Believe me, Im not complaining about the cost. There are much more important things to bitch about... like my breakfast...where the hell is it???!!!

You either have a lot of grass, or need to stop doing ricer mods to your lawnmower.

LOL! No ricer mods for me. 100% stock John Deere LA145.

We live on 30 acres of land. About half of those are cleared and must be cut.
There's a lot to be said for concrete.
Here it's at about 1.39€ a liter. A couple of months ago, it was above 1.45€.
The oil companies have decided to produce less barrels to meet the lower demand, although everyone knows they are just trying to keep the price at over $100 a barrel.

A 30-acre concrete garden...

You could divide it up into spaces and rent the spaces out to people with cars on a hourly basis. Kind of a park.. for cars. Kerching!

That's a good idea. The only problem is that there isnt a store or anything else within 20 miles of my house, so I dont really know why anyone one would want to park out in the middle of the woods.
You need to attract them in then. Casino!
You're right. Building a race track *is* the best way to avoid buying petrol for your lawnmower.
When I was caught out and had to 'pit' at a non Shell station I noticed they had a conversion chart at the pump with price per litre versus pence per gallon (so it would say x pence per liter = y pence per gallon). The highest value in the pence per litre column was 79 pence. I was paying 124 pence per litre. Gasoline is, on the whole, getting much more expensive! In the short term it's coming down but only because it was rising above the general trend in the recent past.

Yes, but then he'd need a few shotguns, to defend them from Sam.

Quote from speedway :havent cooked your bacon yet, huh?

I have NEVER "cooked" bacon! I only microwave it...which has been proven time and time again NOT to be considered cooking.

Then I would have a yard full of sheep terds.... I'd rather spend the money on gas. The duck's and Geese shit is enough for me. Thanks but no thanks!
i remember when we used to call 45c/L (CAD) extortion. then it was 50c/L, 60c/L, 80c/L, $1/L, $1.40/L...

now any time someone sneezes the price shoots up by 10c/L. it still hasn't gone back down to pre-katrina levels. i highly doubt it will now that ike has come and gone. i sure hope oil hits rock bottom (sub-$100USD/Barrel isn't enough) so the selling price of gasoline gets reset.

thank god i don't own a car.
