the "night racing" part doesn't sound particularly special really. As Bourdais put it, the lights are so bright that it's basically just like a normal day time race. The only difference of cos is that the sky are black...
PS. I really hope they don't remove those very high looking brick style kerbs down at that turn 10 (?) chicane~! lol
Been watching Live Timing through Science and a bit through lunch and Hamilton has been the fastest in Practice 1 with a time of 1:45.518, being out on the track for 20laps. I hope he tops practice 2 aswell, I hope he gets qualifying, which I think he might do but as it is a new track we never know what is going to happen, hopefully he gets pole tomorrow though.
Pitty I had to use the Live Timing option on the F1 website as the Live Video Stream on itv-f1.com doesn't seem to work at school for some reason, doesn't load.
I think Valencia was the most boring race of the season so far and one of the best being Silverstone with good old British weather
Looking good so far. I think this night racing really works from a spectators point of view. It makes much more sense to do this in a city, the backdrop really adds to the the overall atmosphere (for a TV viewer) whereas it was a bit flat at the MotoGp event earlier in the year with that track being stuck in the middle of no-where.
Not sure about the track yet though. There seems to be a few to many corners, and some of those little micky mouse chicane things look like they could cause problems in the race, especially if it's wet. And the pit entry and exit look quite dangerous.
Busy downloading Alonso's lap so it might give me a better idea of the track itself.
quick edit: Trulli a bit naughty !!, you joking ?, that's one of the most dangerous things in F1 i've seen in years, you simply do not drive the wrong way round the track. Especially on such a fast, blind corner. He's an experienced peddler, he should know better. He deserves a huge whacking fine for that, maybe even a grid penalty.
Mixture of Melbourne, Adelaide and Macau, perhaps with a little bit of Hungaroring thrown in too. I'm really likening the night racing though, but still 50:50 with the track layout. It's technical, but maybe a little too technical which spoils the flow of the thing.
Oddly i think Valencia has a much better layout, more of a drivers circuit, more fun. Maybe they should switch to night racing too, so the surrounding scenery wouldn't look so desolate.
It's called "TrafficShare Download" and you can use it if sign up. I got 10 GB worth of TrafficShare bandwidth when I signed up for 1 month, after that they sell it for about 18ct/GB.
And I don't what has happened to Rapidshare couple of months ago, at the same time the webpage changed, the extremely annoying CAPTCHA was removed altogether and there doesn't seem to be anymore mb / per hour limit (or then it has been upped up considerably, but I have not seen "please wait 60 minutes" anymore). Can't beat FTP/HTTP link but now it's quite nice compared to what it used be.
