By night I mean green flag at 8PM. Football has done that for a while for good ratings, F1 could too. After all Indy got the best ratings in the UK of any race until it was cancelled.
The Österreichring is the A1-Ring now, maybe even to give foreigners a chance to spell it right... It's partly demolished at the moment to build Mateschitz' vision of a motorsport and flight academy, but that project got stopped halfway through and the track's future now dangles on a very thin string...
The A1-Ring (formally known as Österreichring) is not existing any more, thanks to the rebuilt program of red bull.
Surfers Paradis would be great, as it won't be used as monoposti track in '09, thanks to Tony George's lazyness in travelling with his IndyCar.
Track of Adelaid is not the track it was back in old days.
Zandvoort is cool, even if the rain poors like Sunday in A1GP. A problem might be the enviroment thingy... the F3 Masters couldn't take place in Zandvoort because of the enviroment protecting laws.
And for Pau I give a NO... Pau is much to narrow, and even the WTCC has no overtaking opportunity there.
I'd love to see Brans Hatch in 2010 in August... then they could call it the Olympic Grand Prix.
My dream carlender would be:
Brazil - Autodromo Carlos Pace Interlagos
Argentinia - Autódromo Juan y Oscar Gálvez Buenos Aires
Mexico - Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez Mexico City
USA - Indianapolis Motor Speedway F1 Grand Prix Circuit / Road America Elkhart Lake / Long Beach / Laguna Seca
Canada - Circuit Mont Tremblant / Circuit Gilles Villeneuve Montreal
France - LeMans Bugatti
Monaco - Monte Carlo
Belgium - Spa-Francorchamps
Turkey - Otodromo Istanbul
Sweden - Scandinavian Raceway Anderstorp
Italy - Autodromo Nazionale Monza
Austria - Salzburgring Salzburg
Germany - Eurospeedway Lausitz T1 Grand Prix
Spain - Valencia Street Circuit
United Kingdom - Brands Hatch
South Africa - Phasaki Freeway Welkom / Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit
Not surprising, following Kubica's crash and the safety standards debate which followed, then the rallycross event which was the most recent race.
It's a shame, but they've put themselves in that vulnerable position to an extent. I would much rather money were invested and the problems properly fixed, and not by whoever put down the surface last time, but I think Bernie and co want as many available weekends for Asian GPs as possible at the moment. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if we get an "Asian Grand Prix" in the near future.
I remember the Formula One @ Suzuka and Aida (now Okoyama) in the same year (1994, if I belive my good old Grand Prix 2 game)
Suzuka was the Japanese Grand Prix, and Okoyama the Pacific Grand Prix
I don't wish Bernie dead, but I do wish that the old bastard retires right now (after reading this post!) and he never returns to destroy F1 like he has been doing for the last however many years.
Actually, I've had a change of heart. I wouldn't mind if he passed away... Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
ever heard of a nice little place called circuit de la sarthe?
as interesting as it might be to have a home gp its by no means a great track and im not at all comfortable with having mosley walking around on the reichsparteitagsgelaende

FIA and Bernie doesnt care about the fans, history, or the sport, it's all about money. If Canada/Montreal can pay as much as other countries they will get back on the calender. And maybe they shouldnt have pissed off Maxxx MoSSley http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/ ... dies-denounce-mosley.html
the words too fast and f1 in the same sentence dont make any sense whatsoever
It may seem silly, but those overbred engines can't take high revs for too long... The teams complained about a bit of wind redlining their precious machines on the Kemmel(?) straight in Spa for a moment, before braking for Les Combes... What do you think they'd say about the monstrosity that is the Mulsanne Straight?
when did the fia suddenly become a reliable source of information and good judge of whats best for the sport? or in fact something that makes sense?

how about: dear god we may have to build cars that actually work for a change?
and since youre so eager to correct spelling mistakes on german words which may just as well be typos... its called the hunaudieres
Same Mattesa... Wanted to go watch my first F1 race ever next year and was planning on saving some money for grand stand tickets and all. Wow... But... why??? Doesn't the track have history and the wall of champions and all. Man whoever choses tracks is an idiot...
