Quote from aroX123 :Omg 24 hours with driving.. xD wow.. if u drive all the time u cant go Bathroom(and do your thing) .. or eat..
a 1 hour race is OK for me xD

@ The bathroom problem, bottle/bowl?
And the eating problem... Arent knees just perfect for steering?

And yes, I'm in if I can find a teammate and if the race doesnt interfere with school.

Quote from The General Lee :You know you've played too much LFS when...

You go to the cinema and think to yourself, I want to play LFS on this screen!

I done that tonight and then I felt a tiny bit of shame and actually wanting to play lfs on that screen!1

lol, i think the exact same thing(without the shame)

You know you've played too much lfs when...
...in any cruise server you have all the cars...

Quote from TAYLOR-MANIA :Um, I'd say no. 35FPS sounds about right for that system. Not much you can do to improve it really, being a laptop.

Damn laptop lol... bought a DFP for it, and a new 300Gb external hdd as well :'(
What fps should this system get?

Hi, recently i have been getting a crappy fps with my laptop, although a couple of months ago i think it was a bit higher

The system spec's are:
Intel P4 mobile (with speedstep and hyperthreading) @ 2.8ghz
nVidia Geforce Go5200 (64mb)
512 Mb RAM (that came with the laptop)
Windows XP home (sp2)

I get around 35Fps max. in multiplayer mode, with it commonly dropping to about 7-8Fps... Should that system be able to get a better fps?

Thanks in advance, Invicta. :biggrinfl

Quote from HVS5b :Anyway, can anybody help me on the 2nd part of the post?

"Also, I managed to individually colour eack part of the wireframe (PS Elements4) to get the jagged lines. I am however, unable to repeat this feat........any ideas how I (aqccidently) managed this?"

Thanks y'all

You had the wireframe layer selected

To select it, go to the "Layers" tab (it will be somewhere ) and find the wireframe layer (It's usually near the top)

Btw, just found this: http://www.elated.com/articles/introduction-to-layers/

Wow, thanks for all your help, I'll have to try some of those things

@ the keyboard solution - I'm currently using a laptop for gaming, so I can't really get a new keyboard.

Windows Media Player control mod

Hi, I have no idea if this is the right place for a request, but here it is

A program that allows you to control WMP from inside LFS, so that you dont have to switch windows. Just a Next button and a Previous button that can be assigned to buttons on a steering wheel(DFP in this case) so that you can listen to music that you want to with no hassle

If this has been done/requested before, just delete this thread

Thanks, Invicta.

Logitech DFP

Hi, sorry about starting a new thread but my dad won't let me buy the DFP until he knows it'll work with the PC

Could you please tell me how easy the DFP is to set up to work with the PC, if any drivers are needed and if the force feedback works?

Thanks in advance

Invicta.

Edit : And also why logitech doesn't advertise it as a PC wheel as well as a PS2 wheel, that confuses him aswell

Quote from Hankstar :Yeah, and a steam locomotive and a James Bond Esprit that can drive underwater!

BTW the traditional order is "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9"

But seriously: Night is a good suggestion, a lot of people want that  Lorries, transit vans, tow-trucks, SUVs police cars with lights? Really mate, this is a racing game, not Legoland

BTW I said that they were suggestions to improve the city driving

Hmm... the "traditional order" is a good suggestion, I will try and use it in future posts

And why can't I dream? I'd love to see loads of artics in the demo drifting around blackwood

NFS cars? No...

Anyway, all my choices are what I think all the CityDriving people would like.
1) Saloon versions of the XFG, XRG, XRT, FXO and the RB4 available like the open/closed top on the UF1 is.
3) Night. Along with "working" headlights which have different levels of brightness.
2) More cars in the same class with the same-ish handling but styled diffferently.
2) Vans with options (like the open/closed roof is on the UF1) to make them have a high top and/or a long wheelbase. Like the Mercedes Sprinter. Maybe a minivan as well.
3) Lorrys like the Renault Magnum. Maybe with an attachable/detachable trailer?
4) 4x4 suv things...
5) A truck that can attach to other cars and "tow" them without getting stuck in sand? That would be really useful in Carribean Cruise....
6) Police cars with lights on the roof available like the open/closed top on the UF1 is? (But have the lights controlled by a separate key)
7) Adjustable turbo pressure(with louder dump valve :banana

Ok.
Night racing.
Lights that light up the road (not just an image)
Turning off the flashers by pressing the same button again (eg. press 7, 8 or 9 again instead of 0)
Weather.
Windscreen wipers.
Stallable cars.
Low fuel indicator for the less observant of us.
More realistic damage.
No weird physics from the red and white barriers.

Thats all for now.
