Jertje Yeah, RWD cars understeer into a corner when speeding, as was intended when they are manufactured for safety reasons, but if you're in a RWD car with and you mash the throttle in the middle of a corner, what's it honestly going to do? Understeer more? Brake? Or maybe create a rainbow and automatically drive to the moon, where it has tea with deceased racing drivers?

It'll oversteer, it's simply physics. When regular people experience understeer or oversteer, they will brake like hell, it's natural.
Cars are manufactured to understeer because (amongst other factors) because of that. I'd rather be sitting next to someone braking under understeer, than braking under oversteer.

Conclusion:

You're taking the wrong arguments into the wrong context Jeff. Any decently built car will understeer naturally for safety reasons, but as was said: if you intentionally want to make a car oversteer, it won't be too difficult in a powerful RWD car. It's practically impossible to do in GT4 though, unless you use a crapload of momentum to swing the ass of the car around, don't you agree?

Wait Wait Wait Just look at this

Quote :Jertje
Since when do you require special skills to make an overpowered RWD car spin out, really... isn't it's supposed to be exactly the other way around?

Quote :Ball Bearing Turbo
Any RWD production car will understeer unless you (pretty much intentionally) induce oversteer anyway. The average dolt comming into a corner too hot will understeer in any normal RWD regardless. Manufacturers intentionally build understeer into production vehicles for - (dramatic pause) Safety Reasons(TM).

I just drove the Topgear Test in GT4 and got a 1'37.892
Granted i drove it with a wheel.
That NSX R (according to GT4) is amazing(and it sounds amazing). no driving aids or anything all stock. I pushed harder, and the car performed
the suspension shifted alot under braking and accelerating, and in the corners(nothing new). a lot more than i expected while shifting
As he said you cant change your speed in the middle of the corner so i didn't.
It seemed i could always go faster through T4, and T5 though
Im watching the replay now

wait... THERE IS NO DRIVER IN THE NSX
well i guess Pholphony forgot something

another one of GT4's crowning achivements:shhh: :shhh:

CPU Usage was never over 70
The red TM1 section never went over 0
The frequency hit what appeared to be 3,000,000

EDIT- Btw when i clicked on system info it only recognized one processor
but it gives me the choice to look at seaperated CPU load???

Picture: you can tell when i start lfs and when i stop

umm application wise not really

there are 3 other user profiles on the computer. would that effect it (i think so)

i was just using throtttle watch and it never went over zero with 4 other cars on the track the fps was 45-60 the highest the cpu went was about 70

the frequency just said it went over like 3 million

I was using a controler. Ill do it with a wheel when i get back from school
(2 hour delay, so awesome)

I never use the controler.

I will try to get a better video no guarantee.

i got the pc a while ago and i went back to their webstie for drivers adnd decided to see if i could make it again, they don't manufacture the 400 anymore, where did u get that info from?

Movie was recorded on an Eyetoy so it sucks

if you can make it out its a stock corvette
New Rims, New Oil, Car wash (Hp is now almost 400) Economy tires

thats it.
Hope this proves some skeptics wrong

The barking, is my dog, baecause my sister and mom came home sorry,

it was hard to get viewable video under 1.95mb with WMM

by instinct i saved the car from spining but if i hadn't it would have

(you will need WMP and WIN RAR)

Here is a pic of some of the specs for the processors

if moding it doesn't help get a DFP or an MOMO wheel they are both great setups from Logitech.

NOTE in earlier posts it said it was dual core pentium 4, after cheecking again they are Pentium D processors

Someone else explained the processor thing Jakg i think. BTW Its a Dell XPS 400. (thought the mouse and moniter might not have been enough)

ill check it on my pc. im using the G4 ibook my school gave me at the moment.

Quote :f your CPU speed is about those 3GHz, dont expect any miraculous speeds, you will be just a little faster than single-cored P4, because LFS is not multithread application.

are you saying that LFS is not capable of usig both proccessors? idk im just asking.
if so that sucks.

When you were talking about
Quote :
Do you have applied a dual-core patch on OS?

The computer has VIIV technology and i have installed the drivers if thats what you are refering to?

Is the problem being that (if its true) LFS only utalizes(sp) on processor?

and that FS2004 is made by Microsoft it doesn't have that problem?

i can play NFS Carbon without nearly any problems

Americas Army as well.

If it is in fact the processor issue, is there any way to resolve it?

thanks

Jeff

i should have put this in the original post that JJ72 qutoed

i depends on the specs of the Vette

Did it have 600hp with normal tires?
or 376hp with super soft tires
Suspension? Gear Ratios? Clutch Plate(s)? Transmission? Fly Wheel? Carbon Driveshaft? Weight Reduction? There are many more. as well as weight shift
some of these changes may be small but they can greatly effect the performance of the car
it depends really on the circumstances

If it was a stock Vette idk, maybe it will maybe it won't.

did the post even say he was turning the wheel??illepall

Quote :If they can't do it, then I think this is a valid piece of the superior physics discussion.

Its too late to be arguing about stuff i can't pronounce at 11:30pm

But good point and well put

I was wondering if anyone had tried playing GT4 online.
IK there is a company in the UK that does it for free havent tried it yet. i was wondering if anyone else has?

I've had My PS2 for about 4-6 years, still dont have the network adapter.

was about to but then i got an Xbox and along came Forza MS and now LFS and soon back to GT4 iit seems

None of the websites i found were helpful... thats the firs time ive never seen anything like it

the websites looked like they were from the middle east or russia?

is this it?

http://www.pristavki.com.ua/pr ... s/pd_trans_wheel_x400.jpg

did they give you a booklet? anything with a website? phone #?

A assume if it came with a disk with drivers you tried those?

My old DFP wheel that i used to use in nascar 05' had a similar problem. but there was nothing i could do because it was a console game. some games don't support certain wheels. seeing that that wheel is "one of a kind" or so it seems this game may not support it. it was and is being made by 3 geeks in a garage as i like to say.

but then again it could be a super easy fix we're over looking.

double check everything. see if you missed something.
just curious how much did u pay for the wheel? (PMs ok)
