I wonder what would happen if:

a) the devs shut/close/disable all public server hosting (for a period of time) and themselves host maybe a 5 server for the drifters, 5 servers for the cruisers, 5 for the racers and 5 for the demo guys combined with a good insim.

b) have some LFS fan stream and live comment on some of these servers

I don´t play DayZ, but watch some movies of it. This here I liked a lot, very funny IMO..

Well, DayZ - "The maps are way bigger".. Ok, but here we have a SP mod and you really should play some more - the quest is to escape from there - Btw.: Save your fuel as you soon will realize, that escaping is possible in a boat. Q remains.. which way to go then.. You might find this intel somewhere on the island..

This to me is a mod, where there is "a real goal". I´ve asked this before in another thread: What´s the main goal in playing DayZ ? Couldn´t you just stay in a forest, eat cows drink water and defend youself when approached ?

Anyways - This mod is SP - it´s great and always good for some "No internet action". Give it a try.

A TV-director split screen feature working with different angles and cameras for sure would be interesting and look nice IMO.

My number was prob. set a bit high. Let´s say peak 10-20 players every evening. 0-5 players during daytime. There are only about 5 servers in total (which is good). 99% of the players joins the official server. It´s worth the installation. Keep in mind this mod is now just two weeks old. No more nano-suit, but semi-real.More real then COD or BF3, less then Arma2, ppl. state.

While waiting for Crysis 3 I found this online mod called "Casus Belli".
You might want to watch some movies on Youtube, read a little, it´s even free in combination with the Crysis Wars Trial. Been playing this for a few days now and like it a lot. This mod deserves more then the actual 20-30 online players only.

It looks like some 800x600 textures to me as well.
Hope some PC version will prove me wrong here.

I´m a huge fan of C1. Dont´like the aliens either, but there are loads of free and great custom levels/mods for this game.
Feel free to contact me about C1. I´m not too excited about FC3, TBO. Another PS3/Xbox/PC compromise, I´m afraid.

www.TDRT.dk updated with race rapport IGTC Round 2,3 and Speedsims FXR Championship 2011.

6800LE and LFS should play just fine.
It´s an old AGP card -still, I´m using it to race with since 5-6 years, even in 1080p resolution.
Full grid at race start you will get 10-20 FPS, but this only on a very few tracks. Otherwise 35 - 60 FPS

- Don´t go 800x600, that for sure will make it look ugly
- Give us some better screenshots ( bigger )
- Play with the settings I marked ( see attached file )
- Test the difference between servers, where there is a lot of objects added, and a "normal" one.
