Sorry Jack but I have to withdraw my entry again no internet connection still. Pretty gutting really i hoped to have it sorted by now but i probably wont have net access for this year.
OP still says sign up is not open, might want to change that
Also Calendar says enduro is at AS5 but you said Aston Historic above, i thougth Aston Historic was AS4?
Also If anyone uses Google Calendar (and you should) then search for a public calendar called LFSBC Beginner Cup to add all the races to your calendar.
Real Name: Tom McKirdy
Entry Requirements achieved: only #4 just now, but will get my CTRA points once my net connections fixed. Hope thats ok.
Number: 0 if it's allowed, but 28 if not.
ROOKIE CLASS
i'd taken leave of LFS to play some more GP4 now the F1 season has started. i love GP4.
I dont really use msn, i don't have the internet at my house yet, BT want £140 to install a phone line!!! I've just started paying off my ridiculous student loan so I've not got £140 to play with .
I've been trying to get to grips with setups while this cup has been on, because i've relied too much on saying "hey [fastest driver name here], can I try your setup?" all the time. The best way ive found is to change one component at a time, and go from the maximum setting to the minimum, and learn what it feels like through exageration. So for example, using the MRT which is very responsive to setup changes, whack the anti-roll bars all the way up, and go drive 10 laps of (the awesome ) Sam Speedway, then set them to the minimum, and you'll learn instantly what a change to roll bars feels like. Now set one to max and one to min, and so on. I've played like this in single player mode for ages, it's actually quite a lot of fun . Very time consuming tho.
I going to go against the grain here - I like James Allen, and want him to stay. I don't understand why everyone hates him. He's got a good voice and doesn't get in the way. Last year the whole "Lewis Hamilton, Lewis Hamilton, LEWIS HAMILTON!!!!!!!" thing drove me and the rest of the country to distraction ("Damon Hill never got this sort of attention") but on the whole I think he's done a good job as Murray's replacement.
How about staging the events in such a way that allows demo racers to participate in say, the first 2 events? Round 1 this series was Demo-friendly, how about round 2 on blackwood reverse in the FBMs? It might encourage some demo-ers to race for 2 rounds and then buy S2. The safety car would have to be the XRG in both cases.
Hynnty - if you and Taylor finish equal on points, deko looks at the number of wins to decide who wins the cup. If those are equal then he looks at the number of 2nd positions you have scored. Taylor has one 2nd position, you have none, so Taylor would win the cup. I think this method for deciding a winner is called "countback".

Reason : spelling, ironically
Of course, I'm not underestimating that at all. Was tongue in cheek
I do think the lfsbc should capitalise on it's momentum, use a few weeks off to sort out the first series issues, and get going again. LFS needs a decent rookie league.
Why that long? I thought we'd just start again straight away, with a month long run up to the first race like we did in January.
And regarding setups - why not say instead that you have to make your own setup, rather than use a WR one or nick someone elses? Hard to enforce probably but worth a shot.
Fixed setups are nice in theory, but I like my car set up differently to you, and you want it different to Jack, who.....
See, I thought learning about setups would be one of the elements to this series. I'm all for using other peoples to learn, but although I didn't race, I was practicing for the BMW's at Aston Club with a setup I did on my own and it's awesome when you make a little tweak and gain 2 tenths. Part of the fun. Plus you learn stuff.
edit: I just went and looked at the times you guys were setting at Aston Club and now I'm put off racing you - 1.05:500?!!!! I'm 2 seconds off that, on a course with 2 turns. wtf!
Also, @ Jack, if we're doing alternate weekends, can we have a non-championship event each week in between? Maybe at a different time (so I can race )
