The wheel had been making that smell as far as I remember, it's the smell that electric motors make while they are running

After it was sitting idle for about 2 weeks, I decided to give my G25 a go again, then halfway through my first lap, the ffb started to sound slightly odd when the wheel was held at a certain angle, then disappeared completely, accompanied by a slight electrical burning smell, like the smell the wheel makes after heavy use. The wheel is still detected normally by my PC and the profiler, yet the led on the shifter will only dimly light up, as if it is running only on usb power.

Since then, there has been no ffb, as if the wheel is always turned off. I was wondering if this is a power supply issue, or something more serious, such as dead ffb motor(s). I've had this wheel since late 2007, has the time come to invest in a G27?

Very good job, the car is awesome to drive and looks fantastic. But I can't seem to get RealFeel working properly. I am remembering to activate the config file, and selecting the realfeel upgrade, but still when I go over around 30km/h the wheel will pull away from the centre, as if its doing the opposite of what it should be. I've tried putting the feedback percentage into the minus and plus values but that doesn't seem to help

A similar problem occurred to me, all the top 3 slots were 5th gear, and the bottom 3 were 6th gear. After opening the shifter up and having a look around, there was a wire that had been torn off the little box that sits on the moving shifter part, which I'm thinking was hooked up to the potentiometer. I just put the wire back in and got some blu tack to hold it in place. Its been working perfectly since.

Went to Ace Karts today and my best time was a 40.741 in a Modified, so that is within 2 seconds of the times I get on this track, so I guess its sort of accurate :P

I think I may have put some of the tires and cones at the apexes in a bit too far, but apart from that I think I got the scale mostly right, as I traced a map of the track I got off google earth, and proportioned it so the straight was as close to 105m as I could get it. Turned out pretty good

I never had the chance to see the old layout, as the first time I went was around september last year. I only know about cause I was talking with one of the guys there and he told me about how the track used to be.

Yeah waffenaffe you can use my layout for your server, but I will be using the track also for my acekarts server, which will be running sometimes.

Here is my first ever layout, of a go kart track in Western Melbourne: Ace Karts for use with the MRT. I have provided a setup which is as close as I could get to the likeness of the modified karts there, which I drive.

This doesnt really look like much of a new wheel from Logitech, just looks like they've slapped a few fancy buttons on the Driving Force Pro, and made it compatible with the PS3. Any information on if it spins the same speed as the DFP, cause I would have thought they would improve that if they were releasing another model of it.

You could try turning on the virtual guages, which means your gear selection will be at the bottom left of the screen, along with the tachometer and speedo.

They show video reminders from time to time on long plane trips that I've been on, that tell you to go for walks up and down the corridor, and to move your feet around while sitting and things like that.

I got S2 on christmas day, and I also started using my G25 then, and ive turned off all aids.

(This will probably be evident as I havent quite got the hang of heel and toeing yet, so in the faster cars sometimes I dont brake enough for the corner)

I just have my wheel at 900 degrees and use the amount of lock it automatically gives you for individual cars, I find it a really handy feature how lfs does that for you.

Yay S2! Im 14 but using a Driving Force Pro ive gotten very used to throttle with right foot and brake with left, so Ill have to adjust to using 3 pedals.

I will need to get used to throttle* and braking with my right foot first before Ill be able to race fast.
