Around 2012 in Demo BL2 (rally), i discovered an exploit where i overwrote the dirt road's file with the tarmac's for better grip. https://prnt.sc/tCZ1gLkdiRAH
(FBM time)
It worked online too but of course i got banned
But back to the main topic. I see that the demo players accounts are 7-4-1 years old. If you can't save this amount of money in 4 years or worry about that your potato PC won't run it after graphics update you have more important things to worry about.
Majority of the pirates wouldn't buy the game even if it would cost less.
I don't think people hack/crack/pirate games softwares movies etc. because they can't affor them. It's because of principle.
In the main menu, or in a extra page a LFS Official news feed would be nice.
Most of the players don't hang around the forums, maybe once in a week-month and maybe it would invite community inactive players to the forums.
It could also contain the Upcoming leagues with some info on it.
It would be basically the LEAGUE RACES TODAY and NEWS HEADLINES column in one like in the main page https://www.lfs.net/
EDIT:
It could also feature some community made videos/pictures.
Something like best racing/drift clip of the week (with user voting in the forums)
Last 5 WR's the has been broken
For cruising it is a good idea to have realistic auto transmission.
But it is a racing game and it would have a negative effect on racing:
In mid corners when you are not flooring it it would upshift and you'd lose time.
Although i don't think anyone uses automatic transmission for racing, but still.
I know LFS World is not the main focus of the development right now, but if it is going to be renewed i'd like you to consider this:
In the Hotlap window-racer details i would be nice to have a few more info about the hotlaps.
What i'm thinking is add 2 more columns:
- position
- time difference to the next guy
or
- time difference to Top 10 time
This would make easier to see where it is the easiest (closest) to improve to get in to the points.
There could be others columns as well, this is what hit me at this moment
I remember when i was demo user and all i did was BL1/FBM. I always used the handbrake in turn 1 and when it was disabled i had to let go years of muscle memory.
Although i don't think using handbrake in GTR cars gives an advantage, just gives a little headache to those who are used to it.
Drifting for me doesn't feel worse.
The additional steering angle confuses lots of people, in that steering range/angle the car is much more responsive and feels twitchy but it's nothing that makes it undriftable.
I think you've never tried a steering lock hack/mod, it's the same.
It's just easier to overcorrect.
I'm just a nub kb player and i can still do dank drifts with this update.
R4 is only an inconvenience those who do hotlapping:
- 9 wr titles lost with this small change (yet), only oval track, which doesn't sound a big deal. Grinding out the best lap with the perfect line could take hours.
"XFR and UFR maximum steering lock increased to 30 degrees
LX4 and LX6 maximum steering lock increased to 45 degrees"
I'm curious how this would affect the small tracks with sharp turns: WE karting, south city.
Anyways ppl will stop being salty in 1 week and im sure they do appreciate the progress (i was too because i had to re-do these laps, end of the world you can imagine)
I'm happy and sad at the same time. My 200 hotlaps since february just goes to waste, redoing them is pain in the a$$
With this info i also lost motivation to do more hotlaps until the update
