Matrox setup for sale
rubberbrush
S2 licensed
I have an entire set up; the matrox box (analog) and three identical dell 19 inch monitors. I would like to sell them because I find that, sadly, I never have time for LFS.
The setup is truly spectacular. The comment I usually hear is that it seems like an arcade game.
The whole deal is about 1 year old.
I paid about $300 for the box and $200 x 3 for the monitors. I'd sell them all for $500 (I guess thats half off if you are in the UK!)
I have the original boxes for all the monitors. I will consider shipping anywhere if you pay the fees.
email me at ddunlap at 3dlanguage dot net if you're interested.
I'll throw in a g25 for an extra $150 as well

AI Pitting behavior question

I am loving the new AI! Having them pit makes for some great F1 like tension.
My question is this; is there any way to make them pit randomly? They all pit at the same time like a flock of insane geese. Can we tweak their strategy somehow?

I would certainly welcome the wireless part. Setting up a G25 is like wrestling a squid.

Quote from thisnameistaken :Are americans getting more defensive these days? I appreciate that you probably have reason to be, but it's an interesting phenomenon to observe nonetheless.

Some of us (Americans) are making it difficult for the rest of us to exist in an international forum. It gets old. A small subset of Americans are all about love and racing. And turning in two directions...shocking I know.

Quote from Crashgate3 :A couple of times, I've found that my wheel is one turn to left or right instead of centred when I'd started the race, and end up swiping the car next to me as the light goes green..Shy

I've got you beat...I did that last night: The wheel was 180 degrees off and I slammed it into reverse. ('cause the paddles were reversed as well.) I took out 3 people. Oh, the shame.

I bought S3 and it's great!
Tough AI, real life tracks, over 150 cars, Quad core support. Definitely worth the 20 a year!

Quote from Elderado :Didn't take the time to watch it but does he explain how to ram people or stop in the middle of the track to keep your pole position?

Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater! The man was fast, and they show why with some telemetry. Good stuff...

Quote from BruTaLysT :I really think you need to change the way you type your messages... You sound like some 7 year old and you are lacking any form of discipline.

The main point why you are not getting anywhere is that u don't trust upon yourself doing so. You constantly blame others for being faster and struggling with the fact that it all seems impossible.

Really not the way to go bro, if you're acting this same way in real life you need to change the way you think drastically or you won't get anywhere. Complaining won't get you further. Think about yourself doing crazy hotlaps and winning races and eventually you will get there. The biggest problem of most people is that they can't place themselves at the top in their imagination. Instead they complain and yell about others being alien all the time. Instead we are not alien, but we know how the basics of attraction work.

I can't help you getting better, you have to!, i can only give some pointers... but since a lot of people already did that, i try to approach it in a diffirent way. So i hope my speech will get you any further at last. It may seem like it's impossible that the way you think has such great impact on what you get and where you get, but it's 100% true. Still, i'm not here to convince anyone... It's your life, do with it whatever you want.

Bully!

Austin - This is the best advice you will ever receive.
Someday when you're old and gray you will think back fondly about the day BruTaLysT changed your life...or you will disregard it and be just another hump of flesh.

Are you going to do 3 round knock out qualifying? That would be very interesting!

I like this idea! This is the sort of thing that can really add to a program without undue development time.

You will think me a fool, no doubt...XRG.
It's fun to drive with a g25 (sounds like a line from the beach boys) and it is all about momentum and smoothness. Also, I am hoping to start racing an SCCA spec Miata in the next year or so and I think the XRG is as close as it gets in LFS.
In the LX6 I am like a bottle rocket with no stick...but it sure looks fun.

I'd like to see some sliders so that I could tweak the various attributes of the AI.

You have to remember that LFS is for people on the edge of the bell curve. To most people realistic just means it looks realistic.

Hey brother,
I have a Logitech wheel I'm not using, it's all yours.
It's not ff but it works like a clock.
Shoot me an email (I sent my address to you)
I'll even pay the shipping.
We LFS'er have to stick together.

How about this...give me your best lap time around fern bay club with the stock set up...

Is there anyone who keeps track of WR times using unadulterated stock setups?
I’ve looked around but I haven’t been able to find this info anywhere.
I’d be very interested in what you lunatics could do...especially with the XRG at Fern Bay Club. The current record appears to be 49.720 by Jonesy - Well done!
I’m interested to find out how much a good setup is worth to a great driver.
Thanks!

Quote from ajp71 :You're never going to be able to get into a rythm just doing a corner at a time. Using the shortest config with said corner is the best option.

I'm not sure ajp...GTR - or whatever they call it- hands the car to you mid corner and it's pretty easy to take control...it would make sense to give your self a couple seconds prior to the section...and that's the important bit, the section, not just the corner.
