Ok, sounds good, I’ll make that rim protector change! As for the slight tire poke, that was a result of making the scrub feel correct. I had some wheel users test it out. I’m a bit afraid if I change that slight poke, it’ll throw a lot of things out of wack. Is that absolutely needed in your book for it being approved? I understand if yes, but it would be nice to keep all the suspension and setups as is because I have had wheel users test it for me already.
I have completed the following issues you mentioned with details below. Please review when you have the chance!
- Skin template fixed. I found an issue where my left side was the main while it should have been the right side. I checked the skin overlays for both left and right and it seems fine now. I also updated skin template so it's not as stretched looking.
- Created a more accurate frame using chassis pictures online (while retaining the correct curb weight, weight distribution and center of gravity).
- Fixed the stretched gauge ratios. I also improved gauge textures and tris. I created new gauge tris to make the cluster look more uniform as well.
- Updated first skin to be a normal default and also created new default colors.
Yeah I have been fighting myself over this. I want to keep the body kit purely for cosmetics/car shows but it's also true that the body kit doesn't change my already calculated downforce for the stock versions. I'll have to think about this because I do agree to some degree.
I just recently published these new changes:
- Greatly improved dash texture quality and added new icons, etc.
- Created skin support on LOD3
- Added steering wheel textures
- Created a brand new steering animation for the car's specific steering wheel. Really made sure that hands aren't clipping through the wheel frame by frame.
Other things I have recently done lately to get ready for mod approval are:
- Calculated real downforce converting lbs of downforce to newtons at multiple different speeds for accuracy. I used an article I found and tested downforce at different speeds. Very close to real life.
- Created a nicely working skin template (people have already made skins for my AR-EIGHT and they look great)
- Fixed all bad normals and errors in LFSE
- Updated engine sound to make sure it's not clipping (hardly at all now)
- Refined all default setups for a good driving experience. I had multiple wheel users test my suspension and scrub to make sure my default setups are an enjoyable experience for all users across mouse and wheel.
- Patched up random triangles/areas on the model.
Thank you very much! I am currently working on greatly improving the dash textures as we speak. Already looks much better. I'll get that done and the LOD3 skin support and then I'll let you know when I am finished
One thing I've noticed is that when using Wheel / Joystick for mouse controls, the difference between .9 and 1.0 "Available Axes - Mouse X/Mouse Y" is quite a bit. It would be nice to have the option to SHIFT + Click or CTRL + Click that would increment by .1. I have provided a screenshot to show exactly where and what I am referring to. Thank you!
I can't prove if you are Leo's concerned parent or Leo himself, but here is some explanation. I have banned him from our Freedom Factory server because we received multiple complaints of him abusing teleport into people and crashing. He kept misbehaving all while not listening to stop. This ruins the experience when people just want to drive and not have to worry about someone crashing them and abusing teleport inside their car. After I banned him, he went and created a server in a name very close to our Freedom Factory server and loaded the "Just a Ride" server's layout without permission. Multiple people in the community as a whole know him as an annoyance currently. I can understand their frustration as they don't want to tolerate your son's behavior anymore. Thus, he is banned from Freedom Factory, Just a Ride and likely other populated servers.
If your children are allowed to go on the internet, they WILL run into this type of stuff and see it fairly regularly as you agree. As a parent of two young children myself, it comes down to the parents whenever there are games or areas of the internet that that aren't filtered. If you really don't want him around this behavior and language, it sounds like he should be confined to singleplayer until further notice from LFS moderators about filtering.
Hey guys! I am happy to announce that I am bringing back the R8 with a new model. I am 99% pretty sure it isn't ripped from a game. It's going to have the same chassis, sound, setups, etc as my old R8. So we will still have the great feel we had before I am mostly done with the exterior and I'll be moving onto the interior soon. I should have the first version uploaded for review in a couple days.
This a great mod, thank you for stepping out of a comfort zone and trying a plane in LFS so we have more! Is there specific amount of fuel you would recommend using for a more stabilized flight?
Feedback: When I am trying to take off from a runway, it spins out many times even with traction controlled enabled. I can barely get past 3rd gear without spinning out before I take off from a runway in the air. Is there any way you get around this? It seems to do with the aero because it spins the plan around at the top of 3rd gear.
As for your comment, I am not sure why it flies further with 100% throttle the whole time but that is the same case for the other bi-plane that is in LFS currently. It flies much further with the throttle pinned and no steering.
Graphics could use some work which I did see that you recently updated it a bit. I absolutely love the feel and sound of the car. Did I mention the sound? My goodness it sounds exactly like a screaming 350z. Great job on that part.
Ahh yes, that is very true that it's a heavy sport-tour bike so it won't perform as well in corning as the Vulcan and TSR500. I have actually gotten much more used to the the bike and can still push it pretty hard after learning it's behaviors in certain situations after putting 500+ miles on the bike. I love it man, great job! Definitely my favorite bike right now.
First off, I wanna say amazing job on the bike Foch. I've been having a blast with it and it's quite impressive being very early versions. Sounds like a true bike as well, I love it! I do have some feedback for you though. I noticed when you are leaning at high speeds that it gets quite wobbly sometimes and you can't quite push it to its limits like you can with the TSR500 and Vulcan. However, I can still get around the track pretty quick if I am conscious of the wobble at speeds. However at medium/low speeds it feels phenomenal and I would say "perfect" in my eyes. Truly a wonderful bike and mod.
Super fun car and I love Mister Twos! Only QOL things that would be nice to have is that the tint is a bit too dark currently and it would be nice to have colorable wheels. Otherwise.. Great mod!
Hey Tejdz, I have been absolutely loving this bike. I've put hundreds and hundreds of miles on it. I made a set for it that's pretty stable and I've been having a lot of fun! I know that the set I made has been floating around to other TSR500 enthusiasts and they've been enjoying the bike as well. Are you going to make any updates to this bike as in simple gauges and mirrors? Even just simple gauges would be awesome. Thank you for this fun bike!
You might get a kick out of this video of me outrunning the 500hp "God Foot" on the TSR500. I pushed the bike to the absolute limit on this run! https://streamable.com/19iunp
