sorry to bring this up but what about a 4 door car like an m5? Its kind of a different class because the car is bigger but it still can be raced.

Im not sure if its a bug, or thats how it is in real cars, but if you speed up in XRT and then turn that car off and apply gas, the turbo dial goes up. Is that a bug or im just mistaken?

Hi, Im not sure if this is a bug or not, but i was on one of the W41 test servers, i think track was Int Long. Anyway, I was driving around in f08 then host changed to allow only fox's. I was able to start and race in my f08 even get 3rd place. SHame i know, but the point is, i was able to finish in a car thats not allowed on track. Only fox's were allowed. After the race i joined Spectator mode and had no choice but to switch cars to join the race again. If i didn't switch to spectator mode, i would have still been driving the f08. Maybe if you don't switch before start of race, you should be kicked to pits and locked in to change your car to available ones.

Ill check when I get home, but even though it crashes it still stores the PB.
So its writing to it, just crashes at same time too.

yep, just tried with u35 and even turned firewall off. Same crash. Soon ill beat WR and won't be able to see the problem again. I guess thats a solution.

i was running u34, ill try it with u35 now. For some reason i really think it has something to do with Vista. It seems that every time i set a PB, it writes something to the drive, and thats whats causing the error. I did try to run the program with Administrative privledges but I got same crash when setting PB.

THis is a great little mod. Helped me a lot.
However, im running it in Vista and every time i set a lap record LFS crashes. Any ideas?

Vista 32bit Final
Running latest LFS patch.

getting below 30 fps.
Chaning sounds didn't do anything. Game ran fine with very high FPS on the same system when i had windows xp. That is before I reinstalled with Vista.
Not good.

i have this problem but i think its related to VISTA. Once I installed it im getting below 30FPS. I don't have a dual core. But do have a fast machine with geforce 6800GT.
Disabling sound doesn't yeild any improvment.
I hope this is fixed soon.

Just wanted to ask if anyone noticed that if you start a single player race, there is no count down timer and the race just starts, which cause cars behind you to hit you all the time. Maybe im missing a setting in options?

"Nascar" is not a bad idea. We could have 3 similar models that look a bit like real ones. I can see lots of clean racing fun.

Thank you, I think thats a way better option. I can't find a good reason why anyone would read messages while in ESC mode. ESC mode in my opinion should be strickly for changing options.

dunno, this game has all the cars but doesn't have a 4 door RWD saloon that most of us can relate to. Yes not all of us have a m5, but i think ill add a great racing opportunities if m5 was added to lfs. Plus BMW like some1 said before should pay to add their m5 into this game if they want more sales.

probably wont get it soon, but i want it too.
I can see it done for S3 though.

yea u right, whats cool is all that is planned for like s3 i think. By that time our systems will probably easily support all of these eye candy. Maybe some will come later for s2.

Sorry if this is a wrong forum to post in, but I have a question to any programmers... How hard is it to code light smoke/heat waves comming out of an exhaust pipe on a car? Lets say if your engine got damaged the person in back of you will be able to see that because the smoke will get a bit darker and the person will be able to take advantage of the situation? I mean can LFS word/engine support this? Can you image heat waves comming up from the race track on a hot day or after rain ?
Sorry if this was asked already, but im just curious.

Btw, yea i think the lamps are there just to increase the sense of speed. A change like dynamic night and day isn't a easy programming job considering that they probably spent most of their time perfecting the tyre physics. Unless the devs weren't on a break for the past couple of months after the S2 release and were working their a$$ of to bring us this surprise? A change in tyre physics is a surprise already in its self.
