Basically the idea behind publishing the sets I used for MHR Rank is to make my life easier cos it's faster to reply the link to the setups for those who request it through LFSWorld than to email it to them one by one. Maybe one who plans to start doing the MHR rank can also benefit from it.
Most of these sets are modestly modified versions of older wr sets from teaminferno.hu , or sets I got from kind people. Because of the new shifting system some cars (GTR's, Formulas) needed new gear ratios.
Don't expect a wonder as I used about 45-90 minutes to hotlap each combo, but I think it's good for start.
Zachary: It's almost the same as using a tweaked car... Sure I could do a wr the same wall-using way but everyone can also tweak the car so why shouldn't be that allowed too...
Take a look at that hotlap. He is using an exploit that shouldn't be there: he is using the wall to slow down the car rapidly 2 times on the track and gets huge time advantage with this and LFS doesn't detect the wall hit. I hope this exploit will be removed cos its very unrealistic and sad to see hotlaps like this.
Mot3c made the video, but thanks anyway
I don't know why he is focusing so much on crashes and mistakes in the video, it seems like we are full of noobs and idiots on the track
It's interesting (or sad?) to see how the number of participants halved from week 1 to week 2 end again to week 3. Probably the newness of the challenge disappeared as the time went on and most of the people realised they have absolutely no chance of getting into the top 10 and that it's even more nervewrecking than hotlapping on a "normal" track.
Lep, I don't mean to offend you, but considering that many people (involving those with less driven distance) are capable of driving faster than you it seems that you are not among the most talented drivers... there is nothing wrong with it, I don't know why you take it so seriously... And that you always try your best etc. has nothing to do with talent, talent determines how fast you will be able to go with a determined amount of practice.
I am not talented at painting for example, I won't "beat" Picasso even if I try my best And I don't feel bad if others say I can't paint.
Lol, do you really think that it matters if you have done 220 or 120k? If you are not among the fastest racers after 100k then you wont be even with 500k.
Set matters for sure, it's not a question... Of course if you have no talent at all then you won't be fast even with the best possible set. I am not patient enough to create and test sets so I usually ask fast guys to share their sets and there were occasions when I became 0,2-3 faster with a new set. For example I had dozens of 1,39 laps at AS Nat/FZR but couldn't go below 1,39,8 then tried Biernot's set and almost immediately improved my time to 1,39,59.
Well, then maybe when I am racing and sitting in the cockpit I don't have time to watch the surroundings closely so seeing the picture at first it was like wow, but never mind
