i really hope scawen pushes one last update to make the game run independently from a master server when/if he decides to take it all down, i dont want to see the same stuff with ubisoft and the crew 1 happenning here Nod

the whole steering column could be moved like a real car too, i think the final effect would still be pretty much the same

also i didnt think about the x axis of movement, that could be used to fix the steering position of mods with uncentered steering wheel relative to the dials to improve their visibility further

on the mouse steering topic, i feel like unifying mouse controls with controllers could be a good idea, i have been using the mouse for full car control since somewhere around 2012, i have my steering and the gas/brake mapped to mouse, so when i push up, throttle is increased, when i pull down, the car starts braking, to turn and throttle or brake, i pull my cursor to the required quadrant of the screen etc.

after all those years, i still end up accidentally applying the brakes a bit or wobbling the steering on straights when i am shifting sometimes (i use sequential with clutch help on keyboard) especially when i am trying to shift fast, i would appreciate a tiny bit of deadzone in the middle to prevent that and also make it easier to hold the wheel fully straight when i need to

for the people that like it how it is right now or dont use the mouse for gas/brake, i feel like they can set the center deadzones to 0 and edge deadzones to a number similar to the multiplier they were using to have no change in their habits (the system could permit out of range edge deadzones to emulate lower than 1x multiplier)

i also feel like adjustments of 0.1x are a bit coarse, this would allow finer adjustments too (i have my gas/brake at 1.1x and it leaves a bit more deadzone on the top and bottom than i would like, i was unable to fully brake or throttle just by a tiny bit with 1.0x after a mouse change a few years ago)

honestly steering wheel height should be made adjustable too, there are some mods that even just a few cm of up or down movement would help make the gauges visible very much, when we tell the mod makers they usually dont change the position of the steering wheel

i would like to see 5 cm up 5 cm down movement of the steering wheel alongside increasing the driver movement range

also sometimes i find myself wanting to pull the seat position backwards but it can only go forward, the ability to pull back would be wonderful too

seems great actually but the rearview mirror is missing, and it would be nice if you could set the gauge starting positions to be a bit behind the 0 markers for speedo and tacho, they both have quite big inaccuracies in low speeds and low revs (you can make it so that 10 mph mark matches 10 mph in lfs gauges and 1k rpm matches 1k in lfs gauges)

interior textures could use a bit higher resolution if you can do it

also front signals are fine but headlights and taillights are a bit dim, they need like twice the brightness

setup drives wonderfully when you wanna go sporty, would love to own this on TC but i feel like i cant suggest it before you add the rearview mirror and fix the speedo at least

and i have some better gear ratios based on the irl car if you want down below

its redline is right since this is a diesel engine

sssoooo i tested the update, its actually slightly underperforming compared to my rb4 test mule, so i wanna deliver a small update KEKW basically thinking that it was pulling way too hard under 2.2k, i compromised on spooling a little bit with my earlier engine (by like 50 rpm later), turns out i didnt need to do that after seeing it on the mod, so i pulled the spool back like 75 rpm and i think this will feel perfectly like i envisioned it in the beginning PauseChamp

also you mixed up the reverse with the final drive, reverse is -3.403 and the final drive is 2.895 can you please update again? Smile also thank you for including my engine in your mod peepoHappy

edit: you can also increase braking force to like 2000 nm with like 67-68% brake balance, this will improve the braking of the base setup greatly (i use 2100 nm and 66% on my setup to maximize the potential)

well since i have told you about the engine on the publishing thread, i have actually went and made an engine in the editor, i was going to maybe try to record something send a youtube video of it here of my engine but i couldnt find the time for it, but since you said just send it here, i have attached the engine file.

well about this engine, its turbo spools around 1.6k rpm on the 6th gear but you start getting noticable acceleration around 1.5k right before it spools. it shows 790 nm at 1.9k rpm due to editor limitations, but one cool thing about these vw group diesel engines is that they do kinda make more torque than the specs indicate if they have a large flat line in the torque curve, this can be seen especially in the 3.0 tdi where one of the 450 nm versions are rated 450 nm flat for a wide region while a marine version of the same engine with same outputs is rated at 500 nm at a single point, so this can be applied to this engine too i think, the q7 has this (or mabe a different version with small edits?) engine rated at 760 nm 1800-2800 rpm iirc so i think this is not really far from realistic, it pulls around 0.03g more than it should until like 2.2k (tested with a 730 nm n/a test engine to test the torque curve i had in my mind)

i have been driving like this for years, once you get used to it it provides great control of your car without any controllers, just make sure youre stopped, in neutral and with handbrake pulled when you move your mouse to use the menus, you will still be giving inputs to your vehicle when you use ingame menus

feels like its gonna turn out nicely but id like it with other wheels, wheel sizes seem to be wrong (apparently stock is 225/50 R16) and 1317 kg is too heavy, (at least the sources i trust say) it should be 1255 kg curb weight, you can match it by having 90% fuel in the tank, adding the fuel weight in the garage (fuel: in) and then adjusting the weight accordingly

really good mod, however it has a big issue, sometimes crashing or scratching results in polygon explosion, and rear fenders dont have inner fenders

very nice mod, removal of tinted glass and the mirror ornament for the stock config would be great to improve visibility (rear glass being tinted really dims the view out of the rearview mirror and when you look back) and all lights except the foglights light up way too dimly, its hard to see them even when they are under shade

wonderful mod otherwise, i would really love to see those issues get fixed

forgot to say, one of the rare diesel mods that get the turbo spooling rpm and turbo spooling character in general right for the car it is replicating

as i wrote to the diesel version derivated from this mod, headrests are too high and they are blocking the view on the rearview mirror, otherwise nice mod

its impossible to see anything out of the rearview mirror thanks to the headrests, the headrests need to come down as they are modelled on a high position, turbo spools 300 rpm too late, otherwise nice mod

good mod, sound suits well for the type of the engine and the driving seems to be largely unaltered from the original xfg.

however, in my opinion having the rev gauge back instead of the clock and making the clock a small digital one on the middle of the cockpit would have been better.

small nitpick, but changing the tire sizes so that tire measurements become 185/55-14 or 185/60-14 rather than 185/57-14 it currently is would be a little better.

the steering wheel seems to be a little moved down from the original car, this causes the steering wheel to partially block the dials, steering wheel needs to be moved up again.

also there seems to be a problem with the rear window in "plastic win" and "paint win" configurations, the glass looks heavily tinted on the rear view mirror and when looking back in the first person camera, causing poor visibility.

good mod, can be even better if the above points could be improved.

can someone make me integra type-r dc2 mugen gauges? the 10k rpm - 270 kmh one. the speed doesnt matter much though. i just want it to be above 230 kmh. can someone do it? i wrote down here because the v1.0 thread would be a massive bump (2 years lol).

i think this cars need to be changed to real ones. (and real car specs) and with a small tool, this can be changed to alternative ones such as 3.25i e36 to silvia s14 etc and every real car can have 5-6 real alternatives. it will be much good =)

also i've made suggestions look at attachments
