Had it since end of last year. Just picked up a 50mm stem. The overdrive 2 system Giant runs means this was the only stem I could use. The Bronson was on my list when I was looking for a new MTB last year but was quite a bit more expensive than the Giant.
The game I made was a 2D side scrolling space shooter. Very basic but quite cool as it would run on both 360 and PC and supported 4 players on the 360.
I was racing in 5th position and ran out of gas at the start of lap 7 at Imola. I went back to pits and it told me I was still on lap 7 but now in 1st. I drove down pitlane and crossed the line to start the last lap and the leader drove by. I followed him around the last lap and took second place lol.
I learnt pretty quickly that anyone who uses a mic and does a lot of talking is someone to stay well clear of. I did a race at limerock in the mx5 or spec racer and the one guy that told everyone several times to be careful on the first lap took me out at turn 2 then took someone out at turn 5 up the hill. All on the first lap of a 25 lap race.
Holy mother of god yesterday I got sideways in the SRF at Okayama, yanked over opposite lock and actually held it for once! What is this heracy?
SRF is easy to catch. Did a race at Jefferson Reverse which has a long right hander that needs to be taken sideways at speed while also slowing for low speed corner
I don't understand the hate with the MX5. Have read a couple of posts here and on the iRacing forum where people are comparing it to a real life MX5. To me this is just silly. You need to adapt to whatever is represented in the game. Saying it doesn't handle like a real life MX5 is just a weak excuse for not being able to adapt to change.
Took me 20 - 30 laps to go from 1:55s to 1:52s at Okayama. Just need to keep working at it.
Got my rating up to about 2.85 then had some horrible races. Got taken out on the first lap in 2 races then took myself out on the first corner as the guy one pole was incredibly slow through the turn and I spun trying to avoid him. This took my rating down to 2.65.
Gave myself a good break and came back tonight to nail this race. Some solid laps in the 52s. Not the best competition but just happy to put in 10 near perfect laps. Had one lap in the 54s which would have dropped that average but quite happy with the consistency. Getting sick of this car/track combo. Really need the next licence!
Just had 3rd race. Won by 5 seconds even with a corner cut penalty. New best time of 1:53.334 in the mx5 around Okayama.
If you are having trouble with the MX5 then I would say you are over driving it. Minimal input at high speed to get the car turned into apex and then just carefully balance it through the turns.
Looks like I need to get used to the mirrors and how much car is in front of me. In my mirrors he looked much further back then he was and when he was in front I thought there was a lot more room than there was!
Just finished first race. Started 2nd on grid. Got into the lead within the first few corners. Made a mistake half way through and dropped to second. Got into first when the guy in front disappeared and then was suddenly in my mirrors. Held a 1 second advantage until the last lap when he divebombs me and nudges me out of the way. Last corner and I nudge his rear end and we both spin. I actually thought there was heaps of room...turns out there wasnt. I cross the line first and he has a cry and goes on about protests and blah blah blah. 10 laps in a slow car is fkn boring. Don't think I will continue past three months. Will probably get banned well before then anyway.
