Quote from Silverracer :Wooo!

If you dont mind me asking, whats your line of work?

Was working for an auto manufacturer as regional representation. Hence the having to visit markets regularly. Nice seeing what would become friends in various countries, but the travel and frequency of travel itself was a pain in the arse.
Waking up trying to remember what country you are in today wears a bit thin after a while!

Nitpicking I guess, but David Hunt's Brother James is a bit more than 'retired', having croaked in 1993.
Anyway, agree with the sentiments that what currently exists does not really deserve to be associated with such a historic team.

The rain in the region can be very torrential, good lighting or not it would be impossible to race anyway if it gets as bad as it can get. I lived in Kuala Lumpur and it was bad enough in a road car.

A little rain would be good to mix things up, too much though and there won't be much running I fear.

Many years ago as a technician I had a car (I think it was a Ford Sierra) to work on that was an auto but had the throttle and brake pedals swapped over (owner had some sort of disability).
Was too scared to road test the thing in case as Tristan mentioned with the Packard I instinctively went for the brakes and got the wrong result!

I would recommend Jeffrey Archer's prison diaries. Very interesting account of someone in the public eye having to come to terms with spending some time behind bars.

Disappointed with the mandatory tyre stops. I was hoping that along with no refuelling that scheduled tyre stops would be eliminated also.
Was rather hoping we would see overtaking on the track, not in the bloody pits as we have had for years.

Apparently the FIA are looking at pit to driver communications during the race for any sign of coded exchanges, and are concentrating on this in particular:
Race Engineer: Nelson how are your tyres
Piquet: Slight graining on fronts, but ok. Car feels very good. I can push for position.
Briatore: The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain
Piquet: Oh shit I've lost it.
Briatore: Never mind is bad luck.

I believe that Colin Chapman was forever skirting the boundaries involving the critical elements in chassis construction as mentioned by Tristan, hence his race cars being known as 'not very much of very little held together with f***all'
Or suchlike!

As Rikkiwhitehead says it is normal for G25 to have a slight dead spot in centre due to prevent the motors from 'fighting' each other, but that amount of slack appears excessive.
Try cranking it up in the profiler (or windows controllers) to 107% to see if that makes a difference. if not you may have a bad wheel.

Back to OP's request, I now live in a country where the race will not be televised (unless any Turkish LFS'rs know otherwise) so am looking for a web stream of this event also.
I've not missed a 500 in years. It might not quite be the event when it had Unsers and Andretti's chasing each other but it is still a great spectacle.

Would agree on PSU, however it might be worth opening your case and checking for dust around the CPU/fan. Mine had a similar problem, and on occasion would state that a start-up was aborted due to CPU overheat. I cleaned it out and whilst it has not fixed 100% there was a least a dramatic improvement to the point that I can use it now.

For me the affect of weight transfer is something that LFS does very well, but more so on the front wheel drive models such as XFG. In fact, to me the XFG is the only vehicle in LFS that is believable when it comes to driving feel. Am not saying that every other vehicle is totally borked, this is a work in progress so would expect at some point that the others will be improved upon also.
As for borrowing elements from iracing, more effort on the tracks as pointed out would work, in exchange for LFS's netcode which is excellent.

I once bought a Boeing 747 add-on for MS Flight Simulator. Even with the manual it took me half an hour to work out how to start the bastard.
No, keep it simple, as it is please will do just fine.

It's a regular for me (regardless of track), and always happens with a sizeable grid. My DSL is quite poor so I put it down to that.

Fabio,

Your English is fine, and I totally agree with you. Although it has only happened to me a couple of times (once 10 metres from the line!) it is frustrating, particularly for someone like me who rarely finds himself that high a race position.
I don't know if there is a 'fix' to prevent this, maybe just a question of racers showing a little more respect.
