Gotta like that beast huh? The Dreossi Special was built by Ray Dreossi and Cece Simmons near Courtice, Ontario. This was the 2nd car Cece had built and was designed to incorporate some improvements over his 1st. It was built from a 98 imperial gallon under-wing drop tank from a F86 Sabre-jet. Engine is the 948 cc BMC 'A' series from a Sprite bored out to 998 cc. Indeed a fun car to watch barreling around Mosport. My wife was calling it the Hoover all weekend

Love him or hate him, we all can lay claim in the future to have witnessed a legacy in this sport. As much as I wish I could say the same of ALL the past greats, I feel quite privileged I have witnessed some, including Michael Schumacher. I wish him the best in wherever his path leads.

Whats the fact I'm an idiot got to do with anything? We have blue flags and mirrors, for a real sim I'd say you can't expect more, horns are for children to play with, they don't belong in any race car, plain and simple.

I for one thank the dev's for dumping this feature in the formula cars, long over due imo. Nothing sillier than having some idiot honking behind me to get out of his way.

Ya modding sucks, you all need to wake up and smell the coffee. It amazes me how RF is the big comparison. Why not justify your point using another title, say, GPL, or F1C?? Easier to point out a game that sucked from the very beginning instead of looking at anything else. While your stating LFS should not be modded, why not also crusade to have all templates removed from the web, god knows I've gotten some good skins while racing online, but 90% of them are crude, and not up to the LFS standards.

I know alot of ppl who won't even consider buying LFS S2 just for the very fact it can't be modded. Even myself these days, I find the current tracks quite boring, not saying this in a bad way, I've just driven them to death. As a result LFS has sat untouched in months. IMHO its modding that makes or breaks a game, and I really hope the devs don't listen to the small group of closed minded, anti modding fools.

Question to the ones crying no to allowing modding in LFS. Once LFS is finished in every aspect the developers have planned, how long will peoples interest be held without the community stepping up and continuing the work? You say there is a chance some might release poorly created cars or tracks, and I'm sure your right, but, in any other sim I've raced, the community is never shy about pointing out the short falls of a track or a car. Why would this be different in LFS? Besides if you download an addon and in your opinion it sucks, can't you just uninstall it?
This attitude that modding will kill a sim is a total joke and so far from the truth it baffles my mind you actual waste your time trying to convince people. Modding has extended the life on many different games, not just racing, I might add. How do you explain this I wonder?

Well theres nothing like biting the hand that feeds you, its just a skin! Sure alot of work goes into creating a quality skin. But looking at the above pictures, I see a blue and white car being compared to an orange and white car.....hmm are we just comparing body lines? I'm sorry I just don't see the point of all this.
Could the devs not turn and say, hey that TNT paint is on OUR model, you stole that model to display your work! They could but wouldn't because they made that aspect open to all, my point is why doesn't it work both ways??

Why do you see this as something negative? Out of all the amazing skins to choose from they used yours. Personally I'd take this as a compliment. Its your work representing a great sim, take pride in the fact someone found your hard work worthy of such a role. Sorry if I don't agree with you.

My post was not meant to be a tristan bash. Just a simple request to someone in the know to maybe have some patience with those that aren't. I also know 1st hand how frustrating it is to answer the same questions over and over, but one must expect this and appreciate the fact the user base is growing. As more ppl find the world of LFS the more you'll see the same questions being asked. A little civility goes along way.

Once again someone new posts and the same dog is at the gate trying to get a bite in. If this is the attitude that the devs support, good luck keeping ppl interested. LFS's official forum...... come here make a post and be prepared to be publically belittled.
Tristancliffe, I ask you this, seeing as your such an authority, would it have not made more sense to post a link to thread addressing this? Why do you have to come across like an arrogant little boy? This reaction your becoming quite famous for displaying is neither helpful to newbies and does nothing in establishing a community that welcomes newbies.

With a circuit described above, I'm just guessing, but, could it be an AI line issue that would prevent this? Meaning its not possible for the AI to use multiple paths. With the skid pad it stands to reason no AI line was needed, you can drive basically everywhere. If you however create a layout, with a start, finish, LFS creates an AI line based on this? This is how alot of other sims work, so as I said I'm just guessing here.

Why are certain individuals in this community so hell bent on chasing ppl away?? Here we have someone, who, wrong or not, has found something he thinks might help others. He posts here, in good intentions, only to find himself under the gun. God forbid some actually want to assist others in improving their LFS performance. It would seem if one disagrees with this find, a more constructive reply would benefit everyone.

If you have members requesting to represent what they consider their country of residence and your capable of doing so, why does this even need debating? Seems odd this would ever be an issue that would spark such debate. Seems like more effort is going into trying to decide whether to do it or not.

Can a dedicated server, ban ppl based on either S2 handles or even IP addys? If so, it might be better to contact the ones running these servers. Just a thought.

Well I apoligize for not seeing your point, fact still remains that if these messages could be turned off prior to a race, it stands to reason they could be turned back on after a race. I'm unsure if its the case for everyone, but these messages popping cause considerable lag, and I've seen many wreck as a result. Not only that, theres some that like to request restarts over and over and over. Even after its quite apparant that they are alone in this request. Maybe I'm just less tolerant than most but I personally find this just as distractive as someone sitting dead in the middle of the track. Both are spawned from the same maturity.
