i'll try to be home in time for the 2nd quali and races. i ran some laps there today and made a quick set, tyres behave nice and i drove 0:57:35 as a fastest lap, not the quickest around but should be fun if i make it home :d

seems to me that its actualy montoya's faulth, the camera man is filming in the ferarri crew and montoya is walking forward and looking sideways, just walks straight into the camera himself.

camera guy should have said: "your f*cking idiot, u broke my camera."

u are right, with lfsworld at hand it could be done so that its very easy for the drivers. But the devs would have to make adjustments to that and i think its not to easy to set up a good system like that. with a irc channel people of the comunity can do it them self and i just know there are plenty of people willing to do it, and have enough knowlegde to organize something like this. if i had a server i would give it a try, but i'm no expert on irc bots and stuff. and i dont have a server :/

we should have a system like i know from back in quake3 times.

u just go to the irc pickup channel, tyre !add or something and a pickup bot would add u into a list with other added people in the title. u would just have to Set a combo and wait for enough people to join in, that was the best way in quake3 to get a 20 minute game without people just leaving and geting uneven teams. i think in lfs this system could make it easyer to do a 20+ lap race without havint to join a league for that. if only some1 had a server and was willing to try this out

btw: channel for q3 pickup was #q3pickup on quaknet i think, if anyone wants to ask around for an add bot or something.

i also like driving without it more. but i have no problem with people who do use it that i'm racing against. i just find it a little weird that the engine holds back when i want to go out of a corner fast. maybe if i give it some time i will discover good racing with tc. and whoever said that about the sets is absolutely right. i already have a set that i just had to change to drive it without tc on. But i think with some practise u can be just as fast without . I even had a faster start over the field that gereraly was driving with tc on. to bad i lost it after a few sec .

50.2 maybe, remember the fo8 wont get the speed it did in curent version with the high nose bug fixed.

btw, with a decent downforce run on the f1, what speed would it do at the end of the bl straight?

my guess around 295-305. (remember u need even more df then u did on the fo8 to keep the nose pointing in the right direction ) with very low df setings it should be able to do 320.

oh and. f1's have a 7 speed gearbox as well. that will be weird at first

u should try the easy race high downforce set from bob smiths easy race pack

it should hold out many laps, its stable and can go around in 1.04 without to mutch risk

as for the avoiding of crashed cars, i think its mostly becouse of bad judgement. i know thats why i alwase hit crashed cars :/
