hope someone can help been racing AS3 but tyres burt out to quick so was wondering if anyone could link a decent setup as i'm useless when it comes to this stuff.....thanks

1. I got started in LFS through word of mouth so went to the site
and liked the look of it so downloaded it. First impressions have to say were not good couldn't even go round a corner hehe but i stuck with it and changed the setups and got better and better, so got the S2 and haven't looked back. Played GTR and GTR2 and a few others but ALWAYS come back to LFS put it simply its the best "racing sim" out there nothing comes close to it and having your stats recored and custom skins on the cars makes it a complete package

2. don't think anyone can say who's the best cause there are so many good drivers out there and in different fields of racing

3. hmmm well customised setups, customised car's by the use of skins the tracks are setup for all types of cars and user lvl's and the best part of LFS is the community here on the boards and on the track nine times out of ten if you need help someone will help and if your just starting out you couldn't ask for more in the game its self the choice you have of car's and tracks is brill from simple front wheel drive cars to monsters like the BMW F1 anyone can drive with the right setups. Another great feature is the Auto X tracks if your bored or like to design your own tracks you can do it on there anyway can go on all day saying how good the games is but the best way is to try it and find out

4. Sure if you look around the forums here there are many leagues and events going on all the time so keep checking and look in the league part on here

5. well Dev's would be a good place to start

imo shawn is at fault there was more than enought room to let olddog by without hitting him i looked at it from olddogs cockpit view and he had every right to take the lline he did and he could'nt have moved over any more all shawn had to do was ease of the gas and both drivers would have been ok and shawn could have taken the place back later on but instead took the chickens way and took olddog off

would like to see 1 more F1 type car to compete with
the BF1 and all think it would be fun to have 2 types

but mainly standard race car's like the RS Sierra Sapphire Cosworth
(Cause i use to race one ) cause its closer racing
and more fun and some of the BTCC cars.

A few more road cars as well if its possable

I've been running my own for awhile and had no problems with lag or anything like that and ran it with 20 people on so its really upto you
on the up side of having it with a host is that its up 24/7 and you have
tech backup.

has anyone got one i've looked on team inferno and nobody seems to have done one on there yet i have tried to do one myself but just carn't
get it right

This is the fastest and simplist way

ok first of you need to config your router to get access to you router
you need to open up your internet explorer then put in this ip
http://192.168.1.1 you should then get a control pannel etc you need to
goto the advanced then Virtual server and put you pc's ip in the DMZ
then apply setting and you done (just remember to remove your pc from the dmz when you have finished)

to find your internal ip go to control panel then network and double click
on your router or modem then select support and it should show you in there its normaly 192.168.1.2 if there's only 1 machine connected.

Now the server config i have attached a server config to this post
that i know works and is a standard set up all you have to do is edit
the name to what you want and thats it run the server and your m8 should be able to see it in the list. you won't cause your hosting it
you will need to go to join a specific game then local network and put
in your internal ip and the admin password the port should already be
in there and away you go

does anyone know were there's one ?? if not would you guys be interested in starting one up ??

It depends on what you want out of a game if you just want to boot up your pc and be good there and then i would have to say no don't get it,
BUT if you want to learn how to drive and have fun on loads of different combo's as tristancliffe has already said and not to mention all the different setups, Stats, Hotlaps, Rankings and skins that you can have then hell yes get LFS and let the fun begin and start learning
