I very rarely post here, for the reasons that the topic starter stated. It's very hard to get a good answer without some goon saying "try searching NOOOB". To have a decent atmosphere, you need 60-70% of people to be on one's own wavelength. Also there need to be fewer wankers.

lol, nice analogy. The sounds are DEFINATELY a step in the right direction. A lot deeper and have a lot more "grunt" The gearbox whine is great, but some engines aren't quite there (F1 car). But I have every faith that it'll be sorted

How many "vs" threads am I going to see? This one is the best (most entertaining). Like asking, what's better Fish or sofas?

Just installed the V patch, and now have to re-unlock the game (why you have to do this is beyond me but hey). Trouble is, I have the memory of a goldfish, how do I find out what the info is? Before anyone says it's the same as the main site, it isn't.

To make things a bit clearer, it's the pitlane speedlimiter. All the pitlanes have a limit, and in the proper racing cars, it's diffiult to stay at that speed exactly (you could stay lower, but you would loose time). As the guy above said, when your wheels cross the white line at the end of the pitlane, you can press L.

This wheel looks pretty cool, I love my current MOMO (so many happy memories ), but I bet it won't last much longer, with the number of laps I put through it.
The pedals look stunning, and I guess they have learnt from their mistakes with the MOMO.
As for the buttons issue, I guess I could learn to live with it, but it would be annoying. I will wait until Jan next year and read all the feedback about the handling and feel (and any problems), then I will make up my mind

Whatever you do, don't go online untill you are a better driver than Michael Schumacher. Otherwise, you'll get called a noob and get banned. Obviously this is in no way fair or resonable, but as some severs are run by 12 year olds, that's what will happen.

I love this game, I love racing online with people who realise that I am not always going to win, I love racing peole who respect the fact we ALL make mistakes, and don't have a spaz attack if I spin. Unfortunately I know of only 10 people on the servers who are like this, and they happen to be my mates. Last night I got banned from a server, because I spun a few times. No-one hit me, and there were several people running the WRONG way around the track. (A Ferrari in particular seemed to delight in doing this). Now what was the point in me even
BOTHERING to practice offline, when that happens? I am seriously getting pissed off with the hypocrasy of some people.

I didn't, they were ACCIDENTS. I know exactly how to behave online, and none of you know me, so how the **** can you make comments regarding my maturity. ok some errors I made were, forgetting to check both sides of the track before I moved (going three wide, me in the middle), a VERY common error, which is very easy to make with no spotter. not moving out the way quick enough when I spun (I had just turned off t/c). crashing into someone who decided to park on the racing line, and stayed there for 3 laps, and I foolishly assumed he would have gone when I came round for the third time.
As some of you don't seem to know english (fair enough, why should you), I will make it a bit clearer. When I said I do what I want, I was refering to when I go out on track, not what I do on track. I hope when I see some of you guys online, we can race fairly and evenly. Hope it clears things up a bit.

I do what I like, and I don't want or need the likes of you to tell me what to do. I raced at BW the other night. I crashed lots, took people out and all of it my fault. Not ONE person was immature or stupid enought to call me a noob. Mainly cos they (like you) would be hypocrits. This patch came out on Fri, and you want people like me to stay offline untill I can do a 45.00 at Blackwood? Well, I won't. get a life and get some perspective. It's ONLY a GAME.
We ARE all noobs once, and I doubt very much whether you stayed offline until you could do 50 laps of Aston North with your eyes shut.

I love this game, I really do, and the current damage model is great (if a little wacky), but what I'd really like to see is wheels coming off (especially for the Single seaters). But engine and gearbox damage would be good as well.

I know that was a bit strong, and so I edited it. In the cold light of day I know now, that I was being a complete noob. I really am sorry for this, I didn't mean to annoy or upset anyone.

I downloded a load of skins to LFS\data\skins but none show up in game. They all have correct names and they are all jpeg. When I select the car, none of those skins show up in the list.

To answer the question, no I don't have either. The demos just didn't do anything for me. Unlike LFS

Hmmm I WAS on 6.1, but got told that they might be the problem, so I changed to 5.1.

Drivers is NOT the problem, It wouldn't make that much difference. I want a 25fps increase and new drivers (or old ones) won't give me that.

Ok, in the demo I don't think actually ran with any other cars, I just ran on my own, so that's a poor comparison.

I have not changed any hardware or drivers since I bought the game. I really can't see what else the problem could be except the CPU.

It's my comp then. Fine. I was just wondering why they put lowe specs than needed, that's all.

I then spent money on the full version and it doesn't work.

nah can't do that, but if it's CPU why did they say 1GHz was ok?
