Quote from AndroidXP :Ofcourse it might have something to do with new programs. What exactly did you install?

emule last weekend.........

You having same problem Jangler??? I have seen a few similar threads recently.........interesting that you are with Tiscali, yet when I spoke to them yesterday.....everything was fine.

I went on line this morning about 7:00 and had no problems.......Sounds like the overload theory is favourite at the mo

Since Friday I have not been able to stay on line for more than a couple of minutes without losing connection to host. This has never really happened before. I know that the master server had some problems on Friday but I have read other threads that say this is now sorted.

I have also contacted my ISP to see if they have any problems with the network or ports etc...... nothing

Can anybody shed some light please.....the AI just aren't good enough!

Good advice Mr Bear. I'll get out there and give some of those ideas a try. My main problem on south city is the bumps as I go through the S bends, maybe if I loosen the suspension and the rebound thingymajig that will help.

Thanks again Mr Bear.
Trouble with fast corners

I have been racing now for a few months, and am getting quicker and just getting the hang of creating a useful setup (I generally as a rule don't like asking for peoples setups on servers, I feel I should work it out myself). I drive the FOX most of the time and I know that I'm losing time through the faster corners, the car just is not stable enough to take the corners at a high enough speed.

For example, in the FOX I can achieve lap times in the mid to low 42 sec on South city sprint, and 1:02.3 on AS Club, and looking at replays of fast laps, it is the S bends on these tracks where I lose my time.

I need advice on how to keep the car stable enough at high speed and create enough grip to take these corners a little faster, and then maybe I can break these times.

I have read all the setup guides, but am finding it hard to translate onto the track.

Any advise??????

Being a bit of a noob (so forgive me if this is a simple one) I am wondering whether the setups from team inferno post patch, are now still vaild on the current game.....I have heard people talking about tyre pressures needing to be different.

Can somebody let me know if I should just delete the old setups from my file or if they need any tweaking?????

I have a similar problem.......I have managed a 43.0 but the 41 sec laps that the real faster drivers are clocking seem a little bit out of reach. The problem I seem to find is that these drivers power out of 1st corner alot faster than I.....but if I then change to a more aggressive setup I just lose the back end when accelerating.

Quote from jtr99 :Moss, I am coming in on this a bit late, but: one thing I can suggest is making sure that you use the option to display the pedal input signals as little bars in the lower right corner of the screen (somewhere in display options). This will make it easier for you to tell whether the problem is spiky inputs from the Saitek wheel and pedals, bad calibration of the pedals, or just your own ham-footed driving (). If you're seriously getting a kind of on-off use of the accelerator, then it's probably one of the first two.

I find these pedal input displays are great for letting me know when my pedals have slipped out of calibration and I'm not actually getting full throttle when I have my foot all the way down.

I used to have a Saitek years ago and had to bin it once the potentiometers on the pedals became insufferably noisy. This might be your problem, who knows.

Thanks mate I'll see if this helps..............although I am hoping that the new patch will address the somewhat slippery nature of this sim.

Thanks again for the advise.

Quote from Lucasinio :I have an R220, and was wondering, when driving in a straight line, does it slightly curve to the left?

I have noticed that on the oval course once...but as I was using a loaded setup...i assumed it may be cofigured that way.

I will try Hyperactives suggestion

Thanks guys.......I will keep at it.

I've had a couple of RWD BMW's in the past and they have been a little touchy when on wet roads...but some of the higher spec cars on LFS are crazy touchy. But like you say a little tweeking of the setups and trial and error are the order of the day.

Problem is I need to learn patience..........

If you have anymore tips or links that enhance my learning I am eternally greatful

See ya on the track..........I'll be the one in the wall!

I have just signed up for LFS today, coming over from GP3 due to lack of online playing....but I am having real trouble controlling the cars! everytime I touch the accelerator it applies full throttle and spins the car, and if I do make it to a corner, as soon as I turn the wheel slightly....I spin again!

I am hoping that it is merely the wheel configuration that is causing these problems, as I know from years on GP3 that I am not a useless goon on these sims, but at the momnet I feel like throwing my computer out of the window, which would be a bit of a waste.......

My wheel is a Saitek r220, can anyone help me????????
