In usenet, not only can I put a person into a 'killfile' (Ignore), but I can also ignore a thread started by that person.

I can ignore certain users here, but I'd really like to ignore (and therefore never ever see the thread, or the fact that people respond to the troll bait time and time again, day after day) a thread that is started by a user on my ignore list.

So easy to do with usenet and and usenet readers.

I know... 'Just don't click on the thread.'

Hmm, what an interesting miss-use of your/you're. I haven't seen that one yet, and I have been skulking around the internet for near on 10 years.

Bravo! Queen's English and all that.

I have held my G25 pedals up to my pregnant wifes belly, and the unborn child has made it out of the pit stall and into the facing wall.

The kid has potential, I think.

Quote from STROBE :...as God of the LFS universe, ...in case they wipe out Our Creator.

I always find that type of sh*t to be a little too creepy, and I'd bet good hard earned money that the devs do too. Smileys or no smileys.

Quote from The Very End :Don`t can`t It`s it`s

Hey, why do you use the ` key instead of the ' key ?

Don't can't It's it's <- this looks better to me, less space wasted between letters.

Is this a regional thing? Is your keyboard different from mine? The ` key is up in the upper left beside the 1 key, and the ' key is just to the left of my Enter key.

Live for Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship XRT.
Her five lap mission: to explore strange new combos. To seek out new lap times
and new personal bests. To boldly go where no racer has gone before.

(BTW, I get to play Captain James T Bawbag, and I get to make out with every hot chick that plays LFS, understood?)

Quote from xaotik :Too late - they've already told their mason pals; the gears are in motion.

That is a baldfaced lie. Everyone knows the masons and the ironworkers are mortal enemies.

No 'gears in motion' for you!

It's all about the e-P3n1s, on the internets.

I'd be embarrassed to upload a 1MB+ screenshot that could easily be compressed to 100kB or so.

Quote from ussbeethoven :Yeah, encouraging S2 drivers to populate S1 hosts would be nice, maybe an event could also organized to promote the "older" version a bit. I thought of something like '12h of Fern Bay' or an 'LX challenge'.

Scawen has recently mentioned that if an S2 server is running all S1 content, he would like to get it to show up in the S1 server list.

I am sure he will have a solution in the not too distant future.

I *almost* missed out on Live for Speed's amazingness due to the credit system. I can't be arsed with sh1t like that. Just give me the cars and the tracks and I will drive them and decide if the simulation is for me. I am smart enough to not go online and drive cars and tracks that I don't know; do not keep things locked up because there are a lot of simpletons out there.

Woa, dude saved all his periods from post #1 for a scathing comeback in post #3.

Brilliant tactical move, I would never have thought of doing that. I blow all my punctuation marks too soon.

Quote from JeffR :
I'll probably be buying a wheel and pedal set soon, maybe a G25. Recommendations welcome here. I had two issues with the Momo racing wheel and pedals. Pedal pressure was too light, especially for my clumsly left foot if I try to left foot brake (I left foot brake in my wife's car, which is an automatic, just because I wanted to learn how to do this). The other issue with the Momo wheel is the motor inertia prevents fast wheel movments, no matter how small, which is an issue when at the limits.

Before the G25 came out, I remember reading one of the Logitech guys saying that one of the problems they had with one-motor wheels is that the wheel could only be turned so fast and if it was turned any quicker it would burn the motor out. So they used FF resistance to prevent the wheel from turning too quickly.

With the two-motor FF in the G25, that is no longer a problem. I can crank the wheel back and forth as fast as I am physically able, and there is not a hint of resistance from the motors.

Quote from JeffR :why why why

There is one (1) ONE coder working on this small, little, goddam huge, ambitious project. Relax, give the poor guy some time. There is so much to do, and he doesn't seem like all that much of a rush (to do a rushed shitty job, see: rFactor). One day it will be 'done', but that day is long far away. Breath in, breath out. Relax. The day will come. The way in which he is achieving 'goals' in LFS seem to be going in the right direction - realism.

ENJOY THE JOURNEY (as the coder is)

You guys already explained all this sh*t to him in the other thread.

He is just trolling now, unless he truly doesn't get it. If so, you all might as well drop it. Some people never understand and you will just waste time with the issue.

I wish there was an 'ignore thread' feature on web forums, like I can do with usenet, because this thread will be around for awhile and I will see it all the time and be dismayed that people are still dancing around the 'issues' with JeffR.

Quote from Takumi_lfs :nice bump

Well, it sort of is a relevant bump. XCNuse said (Oct 2006), :

Quote :devs still have to figure out the alpha layer problem first (for those that dont know.. just look for skid marks through the windows of the FOX or other open wheel car with a windshield [yes.. looking through the shield]) you wont see any

That problem has been rectified with patch Y.

Quote from Patch Y readme.txt :FIX : Skid marks and rubber are now visible through screen

That is how I drive nowdays, no hud at all, just need to start making racing frame for that extra immersion now and bit of replanning furniture locations and such

Any comments? :P

Wow! A tiny couch and a mini wheel/keyboard up on your desk beside your monitor! Cool effect!
